How did you get into Sound Healing, and what drew you to it?

A few years back, I attended my very first group sound bath meditation, and I remember walking out feeling so relaxed and light, like something had shifted inside me. It was such a profound experience. I’ve always been drawn to crystals and energy healing, so when I discovered the magic of crystal singing bowls paired with the healing power of sound, it just felt like everything clicked. It truly resonated with me on a deep level.

During the quiet and reflective time of COVID, I felt called to dive deeper and began studying for a diploma in Integral Sound Healing. I didn’t just want to offer these beautiful sessions, I wanted to really understand how sound works to support and transform the body, mind, and spirit. It’s been such a meaningful journey, and I’m so grateful to be able to share this healing work with others.

What are the main benefits of Sound Healing?

Sound healing offers a range of powerful benefits for both the body and mind. It helps relieve stress and anxiety by gently calming the nervous system, while the use of solfeggio tones can sharpen focus and improve mental clarity. Many find that it also supports better sleep by guiding the brain into a deeply relaxed state. On a deeper level, sound healing encourages emotional release and can assist in processing and healing past trauma. Physically, it can aid recovery by boosting circulation and easing pain, creating a sense of harmony and balance throughout the whole body.

Can you walk me through one of your Sound Healing sessions?

An individual sound healing session is a deeply personalized and nurturing experience, designed to support the client’s unique needs on a physical, emotional, and energetic level.

When the client arrives, I begin with a short chat to check in on how they’re feeling and any specific concerns or intentions they’d like to focus on. This helps me tailor the session to what their body and spirit need most in that moment.

They’ll then lie down fully clothed on a comfortable massage table or sometimes I use an air mattress on the floor, covering them with a cozy blanket while being surrounded by soft lighting in a calm, welcoming space. Once settled, I begin with an energy assessment before using a variety of therapeutic sound instruments. I mainly work with crystal singing bowls, however, I incorporate Tibetan bowls, tuning forks, chimes, drum, or gong depending on what intuitively arises. These are gently played over and around the client’s body.

In some sessions, I may place bowls directly on the body or use tuning forks at acupressure points, depending on what their energy system calls for. These sessions can last between 60 to 90 minutes, depending on how deep we need to go.

Many people feel like they are floating or have a sense of release, while others experience vivid imagery, but most find a peaceful calm throughout the session. I end by spending a few minutes with the client to ground them, talk about their experience, and help them process everything before they leave. They usually walk out feeling lighter, more focused, and in better harmony with themselves.

What is the AromaTouch Technique® and how does it work?

The AromaTouch Technique® is a gentle and relaxing method where I apply eight different essential oils in a specific order along a client’s back, neck, head, and feet. These oils are chosen to help their body relax, feel balanced, and support their overall wellbeing. The technique also uses the calming power of human touch to ease stress and bring a sense of peace.

I begin and end each session with the use of Tibetan singing bowls. Their soothing sounds help balance their body’s energy (physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually) and supports the natural flow of energy through their chakras.

You also organize public Sound Bath classes. What are those like?

A group sound bath meditation class is a deeply soothing and immersive experience, like being wrapped in a cocoon of calming sound. I have participants lie on a yoga mat with a bolster for their legs. Some people bring a blanket and pillow to get as comfortable as possible. The space is usually dimly lit and peaceful, with a gentle, nurturing atmosphere.

Once the session begins, I perform a guided meditation to relax participants before letting the waves of sound from instruments like crystal singing bowls, Tibetan bowls, chimes, drum, and gong wash over them. These sounds aren’t just heard, they’re felt, vibrating through their body and helping their mind drift into a meditative, almost dream-like state.

The sounds naturally guide participants into deep relaxation, helping to release tension, quiet mental chatter, and balance their energy. People often describe feeling lighter, clearer, more grounded, and even emotionally moved after a session.

It’s a shared experience, but also deeply personal. Everyone’s journey in the sound bath is unique. Some fall into a peaceful sleep, others experience gentle emotional release, but most participants mainly feel a beautiful sense of stillness.

How do you see the future of sound healing in our everyday lives?

I truly believe sound healing deserves a bigger place in our everyday lives. It’s such a gentle, non-invasive practice. One that doesn’t require anything other than your presence and a willingness to receive. In a world that often moves too fast, sound offers a way to pause, to tune in, and to heal in a deep, resonant way. My hope is to see sound healing embraced more widely, not just as a wellness trend, but as a powerful tool for everyday balance, emotional support, and self-care.
