When Adelina Pang first encountered Feng Shui, it was as a concerned mother searching for a way to help her ailing daughter.
A simple change in her child’s sleeping direction led to a remarkable recovery—and sparked a lifelong passion. Since founding her practice in 1995, Adelina has helped countless individuals and businesses harness the power of environmental energy.
In this interview with MysticMag, she shares her inspiring journey, her tailored approach to Feng Shui, and how she bridges tradition with modern living.
What inspired you to pursue Feng Shui professionally, and how has your approach evolved since 1995?
My journey into Feng Shui began as a concerned parent. When my elder daughter was very young, she suffered from a persistent whooping cough that didn’t seem to improve despite consultations with numerous specialists. Worried that it could develop into something more serious, I was open to any solution. At that time, a friend suggested I consult a Feng Shui master. Following his recommendation, I changed the sleeping direction of my daughter’s bed, and almost immediately, we noticed a significant improvement in her health.
That experience opened my eyes to the powerful influence of environmental energy on well-being, leading me to study Feng Shui extensively and eventually turn my passion into a profession. Since establishing my practice in 1995, my approach has evolved to combine authentic classical Feng Shui principles with practical applications, catering to both residential and large-scale commercial projects. Today, my daughter is a healthy mother of three beautiful children, and my work continues to help others achieve balance and harmony in their lives.
How do you tailor your Feng Shui consultations to address the unique needs of both individuals and businesses?
I believe that Feng Shui is not a one-size-fits-all solution. My approach begins with a detailed analysis of the energy structure of the premises using classical Feng Shui techniques, such as Flying Stars and Eight Mansions. For individuals, I take into account their date of birth to identify their most beneficial directions and energy sectors. This allows me to guide them on how to position themselves to tap into favorable Qi, harnessing positive energies to enhance health, relationships, and personal growth.
For businesses, I focus on optimizing energy flow in key areas such as the main entrance, offices, and meeting rooms, ensuring that business owners and key leaders are positioned to benefit from supportive energies. I also recommend practical adjustments to maximize the use of spaces with good energy, enhancing productivity, teamwork, and financial success. Each consultation is customized to suit the client’s goals, whether it’s improving family harmony at home or boosting profitability in a corporate setting.
Can you share a memorable success story where your Feng Shui recommendations led to significant positive changes for a client?
Over the years, I have worked with numerous families facing severe health challenges. Despite seeking medical treatments, the affected family members showed little improvement. In many of these cases, after conducting a detailed Feng Shui analysis of their homes, I discovered that critical areas like the stove and bed were positioned in unfavorable energy sectors. By adjusting the bed’s direction and repositioning the stove to align with positive energy flow, families noticed significant improvements in their loved ones’ health.
However, I always emphasize that Feng Shui should never replace professional medical advice. If you have a health issue, it is essential to seek medical treatment and take care of your well-being. Feng Shui can complement your recovery by creating a more supportive environment, but should not be seen as a substitute for medical care.
In business settings, I have witnessed similar positive transformations. For corporate clients, optimizing the energy flow in key areas—such as the main entrance, directors’ offices, and meeting rooms—has led to a noticeable increase in business opportunities, improved revenue, and better teamwork. Employees worked more harmoniously, and the overall atmosphere became more positive and productive.
These experiences demonstrate that Feng Shui is not about placing good luck charms or decorative items. Instead, it is about creating an environment where positive energy can flow seamlessly, supporting health, prosperity, and success.
In your experience, what are the most common misconceptions about Feng Shui, and how do you address them in your practice?
One of the most common misconceptions is that Feng Shui is purely about aesthetics or superstition. In reality, Feng Shui is a sophisticated science of energy management that considers spatial design, natural elements, and the alignment of energy fields. I address this misconception by educating my clients about the logic and calculations behind classical Feng Shui, showing them how small adjustments can create tangible improvements in their lives.
How do you integrate traditional Feng Shui principles with modern design and lifestyle trends in your consultations?
My approach is to respect the authenticity of classical Feng Shui while ensuring it complements modern lifestyles. For example, in residential projects, I ensure that Feng Shui adjustments are seamlessly integrated into the client’s existing interior design without disrupting their aesthetic preferences. For businesses, I focus on optimizing the layout and energy flow without compromising functionality or brand image. This balance allows clients to enjoy the benefits of Feng Shui without feeling restricted by rigid rules.
What advice would you offer to someone looking to enhance their personal or professional environment using Feng Shui?
Start by understanding that Feng Shui is about creating balance and harmony in your space. Begin with the basics, such as ensuring good natural light and ventilation, decluttering your environment, and maintaining clean and organized spaces.
For a more personalized approach, consider consulting a professional Feng Shui practitioner who can help you identify and activate the most favorable energy sectors in your home or workplace. A well-optimized space can lead to better health, improved relationships, and enhanced opportunities.
