From a life-altering moment of empathy with her son to decades of psychic insight and spiritual exploration, Caroline Malone has cultivated a deeply intuitive and holistic approach to healing. As the founder of Paradigm Healing®, she weaves together energy modalities like Reiki, crystal therapy, and mindfulness with guidance from spiritual realms and nature-based practices. In this interview for Mystic Mag, Caroline shares how her early clairvoyant experiences shaped her path, the sacred role of nature in her retreats, and why personalized healing is at the heart of her transformative work.
What first drew you to the path of spiritual and holistic healing, and how did your career begin?
I was initally drawn to learning spiritual and holistic healing when my son banged his head for the umpteenth time and I took on the pain again. I actually couldn’t temporarily see. The Universe and synchronicity as it is drew my attention to an advert to learn to become a healer. I realised that this would give me the grounding – as advertised – to not take on his or others pain, something I frequently, inadvertently did.
After my training, my career as a healer took a while to become established; I spent many years studying different healing methods and was at the time working in education.
How did your early psychic experiences shape the creation of Paradigm Healing® and your healing approach?
My early psychic and clairvoyant experiences began in childhood, I have never feared things we are unable to see and have an open acceptance and understanding of things we cannot scientifically prove. Most healing modalities are not tangible. So, after decades of communication with spiritual guides, employing various healing modalities, one of my guides took me into a meditation and showed me spiritual symbols to create a new way of healing. Through this came the creation of Paradigm Healing®. A very strong and relatively quick, form of energy healing.
My healing approach is that one size does not fit all. I have enough experience through teaching holisitic and esoteric subjects and links with spirit to know which healing modality is suitable. I can see and sense peoples energy fields, when working with them. This also allows me to intuit the best approach for them. Many people may be under the assumption that healing fixes everything, infact healing can bring many other issues to the surface. The deeper underlying causes of ‘dis-ease’ within the body, mind and spirit are often those which bring the client to healing.
How do you personalize services like chakra essences and retreats for each client?
My retreats are personalized for clients by means of the workshops within them. For example if we are using crystals on the retreat each client will have different needs – therefore, a different choice of crystals – to the others. Additionally, I always allow time for each participant to have some 1:1 time with me. My chakra essences are created similarly, one client may need a certain energy vibration for their solar plexus, hence a selection of crystals and other energy tools and another may need alternatives relative to their experience. Each client may present with emotional issues, often related to the solar plexus, but each experience will be unique.
What role does nature play in your retreats, and how does it support healing?
Nature plays an important role in my life generally, Mother Earth sustains and grounds us. I have learnt many shamanic practices and fortunately had some training with the Guatamalen Elders who connect with nature and the earth. I am a cacaoist so cacao as a plant medicine needs to be understood and the healing effects of it. We are all part of nature and therefore part of the whole. Being outside gives us a feeling of peace and connection with nature, it supports our healing by releasing tension, stress and everyday worries. On my retreats, we spend time in nature it encourages people to relax, be present, which is what I refer to as grounding. The energy of trees, rivers and grass allows the vibrational energy of the body to expand which releases endorphins leading to the feel good. The restorative effects of being in nature can be seen visually as clients faces relax and they report feeling uplifted.
How do you combine different modalities like Reiki, crystals, and mindfulness in your sessions?
As I mentioned earlier I choose the appropriate method of energy healing on an individual basis (unless a client has a preference). For some clients Reiki is appropriate and can be combined with crystals. For others some colour therapy integrated with Paradigm Healing® will work better. Colour plays an important role in healing, if we are down we say we are feeling ‘blue’, therefore a nice yellow can often counteract the blues. My modalities are chosen after discussion with the client and a check for any contraindications, for example, not all crystals should be used with certain conditions. Mindfulness is a modality on its own, but sometimes it is suitable to suggest some simple techniques to clients to allow them ‘space’ in their minds and thoughts.
How do oracle cards and spiritual tools fit into your overall healing practice?
Oracle cards I personally use to enable clients to have some clarity on situations, by UK law they are for entertainment purposes only. So they are used as a stand alone in my business and not part of the energy healing modalities I practice.
