Today, Mystic Mag‘s Marko Velimirovic had the opportunity to talk with Cindy Parsons from Healing Hands Energy Medicine. We talked about her career, energy healing, and what she loves most about her profession.
When did you first know that being an energy healer was your calling and how did it come about?
I am a registered nurse with over 40 years hospital experience. I was introduced to Healing Touch in 2013. It was fantastic to find a formal program that helped me understand the work I had been doing for years. I continued my training through the entire Healing Touch program becoming a mentor for new students of energy medicine and an instructor. I also studied with other energy modalities, including Energy Medicine Specialists (EMS). EMS offers more advanced studies in the field of energy medicine. I began working with Janna Moll on a program she was continuing to develop. Janna passed away in July, 2022, and I became Lead Instructor for EMS.
What services do you offer?
I offer individualized energy treatments in person and long distance.
Besides that, I also am Lead Instructor for EMS and offer multiple classes on Energy Medicine:
- Foundational Energy Medicine classes to teach a person how to become a practitioner,
- Functional Classes on how to use a pendulum for advanced diagnosis of the energy field, intuition, communication, energy medicine in surgery
- Advanced Chakra Diagnosis and Master Hara Alignment
- Cutting the Ties That Bind which helps a person cut from the negative, and open themselves up to be who they are supposed to be.
My high school friend and I offer weekend retreats on the topic of Intuitive Healing.
What exactly is Energy Healing? How do you channel energy for healing purposes?
Energy Healing is first learning to care for myself. Self care is so very important when becoming a practitioner. If I’m not in a healthy place, I can’t help other people. Once I learned how to make sure I was in a good place, I was ready to begin helping others in a healthy manner. Energy Healing is about asking the universe, the divine for support for the client and whatever is needed for their highest good. The universe is filled with love, I call upon that love to be sent through me into my client for their healing.
Channeling energy means learning how to ground oneself and then stay grounded during treatments. Also, the practitioner must be centered, or focused within the here and now.
For me, I use whatever term my client chooses for the divine. I interview my client to see what they expect from the specific treatment. I assess their energy centers and energy fields. Based upon what my client tells me and what I assess, using my intuition, I choose a technique that will meet the client’s needs. I’ve been doing this work for 10 years, I’ve developed a large tool box of techniques to help my client. I’ve also learned to use my intuition on what the client needs. The goal is to help the clients heal themselves, I’m just the conduit. A means to help a person become balanced, then teach them tools to help with their own self care.
What can a person expect from your treatments?
Most people feel better after a treatment, again, they feel relaxed, rested, balanced. When helping a person release traumas or old patterns, a series of sessions are needed to provide the client support through this process. Many have been able to forgive themselves and others for past hurts, release negativity about another person’s attitude, and so forth. My goal is to empower the client to figure out what they need to do to remove obstacles in their lives so to live with more peace. I feel like I walk side by side with them on their healing journey.
Most people feel relaxed, lighter. The goal is to bring them back into balance, clear any areas that may be unbalanced or congested, and energize them. Most say that they feel a shift, they have gotten back into balance. Most people sleep very well after a treatment.
What is the most important detail in maintaining a relationship of mutual trust with clients?
Honesty, compassion, and confidentiality. I want my client to know that they are receiving love from the universe, I want them to feel this coming off of me. I want them to know that what I tell them is what I find to be true and that I don’t share with others.
What do you love most about your profession?
This work is my passion. I love it. The work itself is simple yet profound. I’ve seen miraculous stories evolve from a single treatment. People may have a huge shift in their thought process after a treatment. This work has helped repair relationships. I love listening to my clients say, I’m better because I had these treatments done.
