“We Listen. We Connect. We Empower.” - The Reiki Center for Healing Arts

Linda Haley, the visionary founder and executive director of The Reiki Center in Columbus, Ohio, has transformed her passion for natural wellness into a comprehensive center catering to both people and their pets. Linda’s spiritual journey, chronicled in her book “Arrival of the Light Beings,” began with a profound message on New Year’s Day 2000, setting her on a transformative path. Overcoming personal health challenges through Reiki, Linda became a certified practitioner and Reiki Master Teacher, founding The Reiki Center in 2004. What started as treatments from the back of her car has evolved into a 2,700 sf facility with over 35 practitioners offering diverse services and classes. Linda’s commitment to community well-being extends through initiatives like the free Reiki Clinic and Stone Soup Project, exemplifying her dedication to accessible holistic healing. The Reiki Center, renowned for its traditional Reiki classes, remains a beacon of authentic wellness education. MysticMag finds out more.

Linda, your journey from hearing a powerful message on New Year’s Day 2000 to founding The Reiki Center is remarkable. Could you share more about how Reiki transformed your life and led to the establishment of the center?

I actually heard the message two other times over the following years. Once was when a colleague walked to a few inches in front of me with a blank, robotic look on her face and said with no emotion “It’s time, Linda Haley. It’s time.” She didn’t recall saying it.

When the Center was created in 2004, Reiki was not at all understood by the general public. Practitioners didn’t feel comfortable telling others about their practice, for fear of reprisal or ridicule. The Center was formed as a safe place for those who wanted to practice, as well as for those who sought our services. Fortunately, Reiki is moving closer to mainstream.

The Reiki Center offers a unique approach by teaching Reiki classes in the original Japanese format. What prompted this choice, and how does it differ from the more commonly known Western or Modern versions of Reiki?

I was taught Reiki in 2002 in the Modern or Western way, with very little information on the spiritual aspect of the craft. Nothing on Affirmations or working with Guides or the chakra system. There was no discussion at all about intuition or development of a connection to Source. The primary focus was hand placements, not using our intuitive gifts to supplement the light touch. When I wanted to teach Reiki years later, I realized that I had only received an incomplete understanding of our history and practices. After much time researching what might be considered the spiritual aspects of delivery of a session, I began to teach in a style which is more in line with Japanese spirituality / mindfulness / meditation. We now have a practitioner from Japan who offers an incredibly detailed class in how Japanese Reiki is taught in Japan.

The Stone Soup Project sounds like an incredible initiative providing wellness services to underserved communities. How has this project evolved and impacted the lives of those it serves?

Stone Soup Project is unique in that professional therapists and practitioners provide free wellness services in partnership with area social service agencies. The agencies (e. g. VA, Ronald McDonald House, local hospitals and nursing homes) provide the logistics and notify their members and patients about the free therapies. We send notices to our 50+ members about the requests we receive and practitioners sign up to volunteer as they are able. A white paper on our website describes SSP as one of the most unique volunteer programs in the nation.

Your book, “Arrival of the Light Beings,” delves into preparing for a shift and contact with extraterrestrials. Could you elaborate on the message or guidance you aim to impart through this book?

I actually just had an interview on the book today with someone from Dubai. I absolutely did not want to write a book, but Avratar was persistent. The message is simple: Earth is in trouble and beings from across the universe are arriving to help. We are asked to not be afraid. There are a number of key issues: 1) E.T.s do not only arrive in ships as most are multidimensional. 2) No one is asking WHY they are coming, which is frustrating to me since that is the much more significant question. (There are about 8 primary reasons why they are coming to Earth.) 3) We are in the middle of a massive shift in consciousness which is causing upheaval in relationships, in social structures, in the physical planet and even in the cosmos. (Did you know that Saturn is losing its famous rings?) All of the transitions could be especially disruptive to those who are firmly entrenched in the 3D world of money, power, status, materialism. 4) We are asked to move into our heart (5D consciousness)

The Reiki Center bridges traditional wellness with metaphysical elements like spirit attachments and house clearings. How do these diverse aspects coalesce within the center’s practices, and what challenges or rewarding experiences have arisen from this unique combination?

I didn’t know anything about spirit attachments, demonics, implants etc when I first started to practice Reiki. It certainly was not a part of my training. But when bizarre things started to happen on my table, I absolutely could not avoid tackling this to bring relief to my clients. I have since become very aware of how to identify entities, how to release, and how to protect from serious darkness. It has only been in the past year that I came out of the spiritual closet and started publicly talking about this. House Clearings, exorcisms and spirit releasements are now the biggest part of my day. What is especially interesting to me is that, once the mysticism and fear have been removed, clients now call the Center asking if we can remove entities from them.

I now have started to write a book called “Running from the Light” which details how one becomes earthbound, how an entity can attach, how the entity can bring his own fears into the host, and how to release. It’s an incredibly interesting topic, one which the medical community has chosen to ignore. Clients who are struggling with suicidal thoughts or depression could find immediate relief by releasing the soul who brought the sadness into your client.
