What were your professional beginnings like and how did you get into shamanism?
I hold a degree in Mass Communication with a specialization in Psychology. In 2007, during a visit to Machu Picchu, Peru, I had a profound encounter with a being made of shimmering light. This being revealed intimate knowledge about my life and foretold an awakening in my path towards evolved consciousness. Following this experience, my life entered a period of significant turmoil. A year later, I returned to Peru in search of answers. At the Sacsayhuaman Complex in Cuzco, a mysterious man approached me, declaring that ‘they’ had been waiting for my return. Shortly thereafter, in a hidden cavern nearby, I was initiated as a shaman. That moment marked a new beginning in my life as a Shaman.
How much is modern-day shamanism different from the traditional shamanism?
The essence of being a legitimately initiated Shaman cannot change regardless of the modality. Traditional shamanism will use language, terminology, and methods more apt for the location and culture it is being practiced in. Shamanism in a “modern” environment is the same vibrational principle only that the presentation and delivery are adjusted for clients more comfortable with academical terms and instructional processes.
Can you walk me through one of your Shamanic Reading sessions?
A Shamanic Reading starts with a casual conversation for a minute or two. We do this to relax the client and for our subconscious presences to connect. Then the client can either communicate what is the perceived issue, what is desired, or what is going on in any particular area of her life. It’s a process of deep communication that will unveil deeper aspects of truth that are often missed by the ego identity. Within minutes we can understand why certain situations are happening or not in our lives and what we can do to reactivate a harmonious flow towards being happy and successful.
What exactly is Soul Retrieval?
When life inevitably shocks us with some traumatic event, the subconscious mind will divert the conscious energy of the individual to prevent an over-surge of emotions that could permanently damage a person’s normal functioning. Through a “soul retrieval,” the Shaman resets all levels of energy flow back to optimal. This process results in the person having more inner power to self-heal, self-love, and thrive towards a happy life.
What is your favorite part of your profession?
Meeting every one of my clients at the true level of who they are. In our tradition we consider every human being an ever-expanding universe of energies. As a Shaman I get to experience this evolution in real time. It is an honor.
