What’s the story behind Serenity Worx and how did it come about?
This is an interesting question! To answer, I have to provide a bit of history about my journey. As a child, I was always intuitive. I didn’t know what to call it, but I knew things that I shouldn’t have known. I knew who was sick before they knew, I was able to know when someone passed on and had them visit me shortly after. I pushed all of that information to the side as I grew up, almost as if I had blinders on.
Fast forward to about 2007 and my mother passed. While I didn’t see or hear her, there were other signs and synchronicities that looking back now, were messages from her. Around that time, I began to consider starting a life coaching business. Imposter syndrome took hold and I didn’t follow my intuitive push. Fast forward to 2015 and I was experiencing what many call a “dark night of the soul”. I was living with depression, at that time, I described it as having a storm cloud over my head wherever I went. I was sick, I was tired, and I didn’t feel as if I belonged here, I struggled with my purpose and longed for relief. I came across an advertisement for a Reiki class and my Spiritual Awakening started.
About a year after Reiki, I came across a Shamanic practitioner, went on a Spiritual Retreat with six other women, at a beachfront property in North Carolina during what turned out to be Hurricane Matthew. It was a very intense, healing, experience in so many ways. The person that hosted the retreat offered a year-long Multi-Cultural Medicine Wheel program in 2017. Although it was more expensive than I could afford at the time, I felt like it was the right thing to do and I stepped into the best thing that ever happened to me. Now, the experience may not be the same for everyone, but for me, I healed more trauma and pain in that year than I did in traditional therapy during my entire life. From there, I have been studying more modalities and have built a business around this.
While a business traditionally means profits first, I try to find that balance between being of service and profit. If it hadn’t been for a scholarship and payment plan for the Medicine Wheel, I wouldn’t be where I am today, so I strive to make sure those that need it can participate in my programs.
What ideas are your Intuitive Life Coaching based on?
My Intuitive Life Coaching service is based on the idea that everyone can rewrite their personal stories and heal their lives. I know, I know, there are those out there that think there is no way this can happen, and that is true to a degree, what’s past cannot be changed. What we can do, however, is move forward with a purpose and try to change our perspective on a situation and see it in a different light. That’s a small way of rewriting that story. Another way is if someone had a bad experience with something, let’s say they wanted to learn how to ride a bike, and when they were learning, they fell off and hurt themselves.
From that time on, they wouldn’t get on a bike again. 20 years later, they decide to try again. They get on the bike, they ride it without falling, and every Friday, bike riding is their way of relaxing and restoring themselves. They rewrote the story that was written 20 years before. Will this approach work in every case or situation? No, but for those that are able to change that perspective they can, in some cases let go and heal.
Intuitive Life Coaching takes traditional Life Coaching guidelines, practices, and procedures, and gives them a twist. Along with the measurable metrics such as goal setting, worksheets, and “homework” between sessions, I offer intuitive guidance as it comes through. Sometimes that comes in the form of what path someone might choose, how a relationship might change or many other pieces of information brought through by Spirit. You might say it’s a coaching session and psychic reading all rolled into one.
What do your “Soul Story” services include?
Soul Stories are a unique blend of storytelling, intuitive guidance, and Oracle Card readings all rolled into one. I generally start by asking for an answer to a prompt, then I pull cards from multiple decks and allow my Intuitive Storytelling to do the rest. It’s important to remember that these stories may not be indicative of your current life. This process brings through current life & past life information, lost soul parts and so much more. When you read through this as a story rather than a present-day psychic reading, the overall arching theme and some specific information will resonate with you on a soul level.
Can you share a few details about your work as a Shamanic Practitioner?
As a Shamanic Practitioner, I help people connect to themselves more deeply on an energetic level. In my framework, it is known that all things are energy, plants, animals, people, and the Earth. When there is illness or injury, there can be an energy imbalance and we believe that this imbalance is actually the cause for that potential illness or injury. We work to rebalance energies & to remove heavy energies or energetic attachments. We also perform Soul Retrievals. During times of intense trauma, we often lose a piece of ourselves from that experience. A soul retrieval helps find those broken and missing parts and helps facilitate a reintegration of that soul part for healing.
What other services do you offer?
There are several other services offered. I offer Mediumship readings, Intuition Development classes, and groups. I facilitate Past Life regressions and have multiple Shamanic services, classes, and groups that are always changing. The best way to keep up with our offerings is to sign up for our newsletter. I am just starting to branch out into Social Media spaces so keep an eye out for that as well!
Is there anything else about your work that you’d like to share that we haven’t covered?
I am currently working on a book, and working toward a Doctorate Degree in Metaphysical Science as well as becoming an Ordained Minister. My services are ever-changing to accommodate being of service to those who need it.
