Lauren, your journey encompasses roles as a psychic medium, afterlife communicator, spiritual teacher, and end-of-life doula. How do these roles interconnect in your practice, and how do they collectively support clients in navigating life’s transitions?

In essence, my work is about helping people align with their life path and guiding them on their personal journey. I don’t particularly like to label it as “psychic,” because the way I perceive, and work goes beyond traditional definitions. I see a person’s past, present, and future as a continuous thread, and as an emotional empath, I deeply feel their experiences—physically, emotionally, and energetically—whether I am meeting them in person, over the phone, or via Zoom.
This empathic connection allows me to sense pain in their bodies, identify health issues, and gain insight into their relationships. From there, I can guide them to make changes that improve their emotional, physical, and relational well-being. My readings also often include insights into their finances and career path, as these too are part of a person’s overall life journey.
I prefer to call what I do “life path guidance” because it’s ultimately about supporting people in making empowered choices that lead to a better quality of life. I don’t simply predict outcomes—I present possibilities. I share what I see and help them understand the potential directions life can take depending on their choices. This empowers them to live more intentionally, with greater awareness and clarity.
In addition to supporting people during life, I also work with those nearing the end of their earthly journey. I help them prepare emotionally and spiritually for saying goodbye—both to their loved ones and to this life—while also helping them open up to the beauty of what comes next. I believe the afterlife is real, and part of my work is to provide reassurance and evidence of this to ease fear and bring peace.
Through evidential mediumship, I connect with those who have passed, offering detailed validation names, initials, how they passed, and even the emotions they experienced in their final moments. I often witness how these spirits try to communicate with their loved ones still here, and I act as a bridge to bring that through.
People come to me for various reasons—life guidance, health insight, grief support, or spiritual preparation—and often end up working with me across all these aspects, as they tend to interconnect. Becoming an end-of-life doula was a natural extension of my path, inspired by my own mother’s passing. It felt deeply important to be able to support others with that sacred transition as well.

You’ve been featured on television programs like The List and Married at First Sight, as well as in The Lady of the Dunes documentary. How have these media appearances influenced public perception of your work and the broader field of mediumship?

This work has truly helped many people realize that the spiritual realm is real, that the afterlife exists—and that my work, too, is grounded in genuine connection and truth. What matters deeply to me is being authentic in what I do. Unfortunately, there are individuals in this field who may not fully understand or honor the depth of this work, and that’s why it was so meaningful for me, both personally and professionally, to be featured on television.
Appearing on TV served two purposes for me: first, it validated my work in the eyes of a wider audience, confirming to others that I am real and authentic in what I offer. And second, it allowed me to demonstrate the reality of the afterlife and the spiritual world through very tangible, documented experiences.
For instance, during Married at First Sight, I was able to provide immediate insights and validations about the participants’ information about their current lives, as well as messages from loved ones on the other side. One particularly moving moment was when I connected with Michael’s deceased brother and conveyed details that were validated by Michael.
But perhaps the most significant moment in my career was being part of the Lady of the Dunes documentary. In this case, I connected with a murder victim who had remained unidentified for 47 years. During my communication with her, she revealed very personal information: she told me she had a son, shared where she was from, and even gave me clues about her past. At the time, I had no prior knowledge of any of these facts. Later, it was confirmed that she did indeed have a son—someone she had never met.
Incredibly, I was able to locate him. We met twice in person, and he validated all the information I had received from his mother in spirit. That moment was profoundly healing for him and deeply affirming for me. It stands as the most meaningful accomplishment of my work to me personally.

This experience also inspired me to pursue more possible work in true crime and criminal investigations. I believe I can make a real impact, especially in unsolved cases. However, working with law enforcement can be a challenge. Some officers are open to consulting with mediums, while others remain skeptical. In the Lady of the Dunes case, the former police chief—who was on the case for over 30 years before he passed away—had in fact worked with psychics in his efforts to identify her.
The documentary itself was produced by someone local who was open to using intuitive insights to explore new leads. One of the most striking details the woman in spirit kept repeating to me was the initials “L.M.” At first, I assumed they were in her name, but eventually it became clear—they pointed to Livonia, Michigan, the city where she had given birth and where her son was later found. She wanted to be reunited with him—even from beyond. I helped her do that. And in return, he gave me one of the most powerful validations of my career, in which I have documented and will update in my book “Through Her Eyes, The Untold Story of Ruth Marie Terry, The Lady of the Dunes.”
That experience affirmed everything for me: the power of this work, the importance of listening deeply, and the very real, ongoing connections that exist between this life and the next.

Your events are intentionally limited in size to foster intimacy and deeper connections. What have you observed about the impact of these smaller gatherings on participant’s healing and spiritual experiences?

Giving back is at the heart of my brand, and that’s why I intentionally keep my events smaller and more intimate. While I occasionally work with groups of up to 100 people, I aim to stay within the 50 to 75-person range whenever possible. I believe this allows for a deeper, more meaningful experience—one that prioritizes healing over spectacle.
In today’s world, so many people are scaling up their events, but I’ve found that what individuals truly need, especially when dealing with loss—is connection, validation, and reassurance that the afterlife exists. Smaller events allow me to create an environment that is both personal and educational, where I can speak about the other side and provide evidential readings that bring comfort and clarity.
When events become too large—say, over 100 people can start to feel more like entertainment than healing. That’s not what I offer. My intention is for people to come to my events because they are seeking real healing, not just a show.

During my events, I move through space, engaging with different sections of the room—often around table groups—to ensure that as many people as possible receive information. Death is a profoundly personal experience, and my goal is to honor that by offering deeply personal, validating connections in every gathering I lead.

In your Life Path (Psychic) sessions, you address aspects such as health, relationships, and financial matters. How do you approach providing guidance in these areas while respecting clients’ autonomy and free will?

I’m very straightforward with people, and I make it clear from the beginning what to expect during a life path session. I tell them exactly what kind of information I receive and let them decide whether they want to hear it. If they are open to it, I share what comes through; if not, we can shift focus. But what I’ve found is that nearly everyone—nine times out of ten—wants full transparency about what’s really going on in their life.
I also ask clients to validate the information I share, because it’s important to me that what I offer is accurate and meaningful to them. Most people come in wanting insight into their health, relationships, and finances—because they’re looking to make real changes.

To me, it’s about respecting each person’s boundaries while offering a complete picture of what’s coming through. I don’t skip over any of the major areas—health, relationships, business, spirituality, or finances. The life path reading is holistic, like a roadmap that helps people gain clarity and direction. Ultimately, it is about helping them understand where they are, where they could go, and what choices might support a better, more fulfilling life.

As the founder of The Spiritual Path with Lauren Robbins LLC, what inspired you to establish this organization, and how has its mission evolved since its inception?

I originally started my business in 2007 under the name The Reiki Shoppe, so it’s been 18 years now. At the time, I was a newly single mom navigating life after divorce, losing my father the year prior, and my intention was to help others going through similar transitions—bereavement, loss, and divorce—through Reiki healing.
Over time, something began to shift. As I worked with clients, I naturally started receiving intuitive insights during their sessions. Messages would come through—about their lives, their health, and even loved ones who had passed. Though I was born with psychic mediumship abilities, they became more pronounced after a significant illness at the age of two and a half years old. That experience deepened my connection and allowed me to offer even more detailed and meaningful information to my clients. Eventually, the focus of my work began to shift. Many clients started coming to me not only for healing but also for readings. What began as a Reiki-based practice evolved into a spiritual path centered on intuitive guidance and mediumship.
At the heart of my work is the mission to prove the spiritual world exists while offering support, healing, and clarity for those navigating grief, loss, and major life transitions. I also feel deeply called to help people prepare for end-of-life—both emotionally and spiritually—so they can find peace in the journey.

How can mediumship support or intersect with end-of-life care, and what role might it play in the emotional or spiritual aspects of the dying process?

End-of-life work is deeply connected to my practice as a medium. When someone is dying, it’s profoundly important for them to know they are going to a good place—and to know who is waiting for them on the other side. In many of my end-of-life sessions, I’m shown the loved ones who will be there to welcome them. I help facilitate that connection because people want that reassurance: Who will greet me? Who is waiting to take my hand?
They also want to feel prepared—to experience a peaceful transition. Part of my role is to guide them through this process, helping them make meaningful changes while they’re still here in the physical world. That often includes finding closure with those still living and making peace with their lives. But it’s also about preparing spiritually. I lead them through guided meditations that support self-healing and allow them to connect with their loved ones on the other side—sometimes even before they pass. These meditations are powerful, and I often receive feedback from clients about what they see and feel, which in turn deepens my own understanding of the afterlife.
Right now, I’m working with two actively dying clients. Both have shared incredibly beautiful experiences—hearing angelic voices, having more frequent out-of-body episodes as they near death. These moments are sacred and witnessing them has given me even greater insight into what lies beyond.
While I don’t focus solely on end-of-life work, I integrate it into my mediumship because it enhances the overall experience for those nearing death. It helps alleviate fear. I’m not a practicing clinician like some, but I wholeheartedly believe in what I do. I’ve studied this deeply. I completed two death and end-of-life doula trainings and with a long weekend training with a well-known institute – I broke down at times—but I learned that what I was experiencing with my clients was very common. Even in secular settings, people nearing death often report seeing loved ones. They’ll say things like, “My mother is here,” or “My grandmother came to me in a dream.” I saw this with my own mother, who began dreaming of her parents and grandparents together. I knew then, they were coming for her.
This phenomenon brings people comfort. Knowing someone is waiting for them helps them let go. I often tell clients, “If you start seeing or sensing someone, welcome that. They’re coming to take you home.” Sometimes they recognize these beings, and sometimes they don’t. Sometimes they see angels, especially those in great pain or those who have had accidents. In those moments, angels will often come in quickly, to soothe that pain and bring them over gently, when there’s no time for a loved one to arrive.
I’ve always been committed to validating what I do. I was married to a scientist, my first husband, who didn’t believe in any of this. So, I felt it was essential to prove my accuracy. I’ve been tested and endorsed eight times, including by top-rated and vetted Psychic Medium platforms and even scientists. I’ve worked with Voices Across the Veil, a scientific afterlife research initiative, and volunteered extensively to learn and grow in this field.
What fascinates me most is the consistent evidence. In some of the videos I’ve shared, I’ve shown names, messages, and specific details that clients later confirm: “Yes, I felt them, “or “Yes, that’s exactly what they said.” I don’t do this work for attention or acclaim. For me, it’s about showing that this is real. One day, I too will leave this world, and if I can leave behind a legacy of evidence, healing, and understanding, I will have fulfilled my purpose. I’ve had media opportunities. I was fortunate to be online, on television, and under contract for a show that was supposed to be like the Long Island Medium but based in Massachusetts. At the time, I thought that was my path—but Spirit had other plans. I heard clearly, “This is not your mission. Keep doing what you’re doing.” So I pulled back and began letting the right people find me.
Now, as I get older, I’m more selective about the interviews and events I take on. I limit public appearances to a few each month. But my long-term goal is to pass this knowledge onto train and mentor others. This work is incredibly important, especially for those in hospice and palliative care. They deserve to know the truth: that they are not alone, and that there is love waiting for them on the other side.
It’s not about being famous. It’s about service.
