Surf the Spiritual Wave with Miwa Mack

MysticMag has the pleasure of chatting with Miwa Mack from The Boulder Psychic Institute, also known as BPI or The Beep. Here, we step away from the clichés of dimly-lit rooms and mystical props and instead, focus on what truly matters—the soul, fulfillment, and the journey within.

The Boulder Psychic Institute aims to provide a metaphysical sanctuary for individuals seeking answers and spiritual guidance. How do you create a nurturing and supportive environment for your clients, and what sets The Beep apart from other psychic institutes?

To be honest, I am not familiar with the practices of other spiritual schools, since I’ve been focused on creating the Boulder Psychic Institute over the past 20 years. Therefore, I cannot speak to what others might be doing and what sets us apart.

However, at the Boulder Psychic Institute, we emphasize cultivating a nurturing and supportive environment for our students by offering them many opportunities to explore their psychic and healing abilities. In addition to providing classes, we offer coaching and mentoring sessions, enabling students to engage in one-on-one interactions with our staff members for added guidance and support.

We also offer a safe practice environment where our students can hone their skills by giving readings and healings to the public. During these sessions, our staff members maintain a high level of positive energy, ensuring the safety of our students as they experiment with their newfound abilities. This allows them to receive feedback from the public, which they can use to further develop their psychic and healing abilities.

To me, the practice environment is the most important and unique part of the Boulder Psychic Institute. Just reading books or going to lectures won’t make you an expert in any skill. You must practice consistently to gain experience, fully integrate the information, and build confidence in your abilities. I find this to be especially true for developing yourself as a psychic and healer. Practice makes progress!

Since 2003, The Beep has been offering courses, readings, and healings to help individuals deepen their sense of self and magnify their magic. Could you give us some examples of the courses and services you provide and how they can empower individuals on their spiritual journeys?

Our primary focus at the Boulder Psychic Institute is personal growth and increased awareness. Many people think that becoming a psychic involves applying your abilities to those around you. That couldn’t be furthest from the truth. It has everything to do with looking inward to heal yourself so you can see with clarity — be a clairvoyant.

Our first course, Self Healing 101, equips students with various spiritual tools and techniques to heal themselves physically, mentally, and emotionally. From there, we offer a diverse curriculum that allows individuals to clear old wounds, increase their consciousness, discover new healing modalities, learn about all things spiritual, and deepen their understanding of themselves. The curriculum at the Boulder Psychic Institute is comprehensive and well-rounded. Students graduate with tons of spiritual wisdom that they have integrated into their bodies and can apply directly to their lives.

Some of my favorite class topics are:
Akashic Records
Karma
Healing vs. Fixing
Money & Manifesting
Kundalini
Resolving Conflict
Creating Miracles
Entities
Astral Travel

What can you tell us about ‘The cosmic highway’ and how to navigate this successfully?

The cosmic highway is a playful term I use to describe the astral plane or the spiritual realm. It is where the soul goes when the body is asleep at night — the dream plane. It is also where the soul goes after the body dies.

A person who can navigate the cosmic highway is spiritually able to be fully conscious of what they are doing on the astral plane. They can visit the various levels of the astral plane, create their desired cosmic adventures, and even interact with ascended masters, angels, and entities on the other side.

Learning to navigate the cosmic highway has everything to do with consistent practice. I recommend practicing through astral projection while awake in meditation. From there, I suggest meditating before bed so you can astrally project yourself onto the dream plane while your body sleeps at night. Once lucid dreaming (consistently remembering your dreams at night), you can apply your psychic tools to your astral experiences to release yourself if you get stuck in a nightmare. Once you can fully use your spiritual tools to create any dream experience you’d like, you are doing what I call “conscious astral traveling.”

The cool thing about the cosmic highway is that when a person learns how consciously astral travel, they find that they can also successfully navigate the physical plane.

One of the central teachings at the Boulder Psychic Institute is the concept of “as above, so below,” which means that the energy and intentions we set spiritually (above) will manifest physically (below). By mastering the cosmic highway, we gain the freedom to explore the other side and the ability to influence our physical experiences with greater ease and grace.

I experienced a significant shift when I started conscious astral traveling about 15 years ago. While I had always been able to remember my dreams, I couldn’t control my dreams. For many years, I applied the same practice I suggested — astrally projecting myself in my waking meditations, meditating before bed, and using my psychic tools to get myself out of sticky astral situations. This led to a remarkable development where I could remember and influence my dreams and consciously change their course. It felt like magic, effortlessly altering the dream landscape to my preference.

The ability to consciously astral travel and shape my experiences on the astral plane transformed my perception of death. I now understand that there is no distinction between waking and dreaming states of consciousness; there is always a level of spiritual awareness. This realization has brought me comfort, as it solidifies my understanding that the eternal part of me, the spiritual aspect of my being, will persist even when the physical body ceases to exist. The body becomes another vessel, a temporary vehicle, while the core essence continues to transcend lifetimes. This understanding has allowed me to detach from the physical body and embrace the eternal nature of spirit — true freedom.

The cosmic highway offers infinite opportunities and endless magic. The vastness and diversity never cease to amaze me, and I feel blessed to experience its countless opportunities and infinite wonders.

The concept of magnifying one’s magic is intriguing. Could you explain what it means to magnify one’s magic and how your institute helps individuals tap into their inner power and unleash their full potential?

When it comes to the concept of magic, people often have two common perspectives: either they view it as something impossible or merely an illusion or trickery.

However, I propose a third definition of magic: being fully present and giving yourself full permission to be yourself.

Being fully present entails having all your consciousness, spiritual energy, and awareness focused on the here and now. When you are fully present, you can respond to any situation with all of your capabilities, leading to more favorable outcomes than when you’re only partially engaged. It can feel magical when you have all your energy and power to apply to each moment. But, when you add full permission to be yourself to the equation, you won’t only feel magical, you will feel like you have a superpower. It’s freeing to allow yourself the permission to be authentically and unapologetically you, embracing your humanity without striving for perfection or conforming to societal standards.

My goal at the Boulder Psychic Institute is to help individuals give themselves more permission to experience the entire range of human emotions and experiences. Through my readings and healings as a professional psychic, I’ve come to understand that our purpose as humans on this Earth is not to become flawless, saint-like beings placed on pedestals. Instead, we reincarnate to learn and explore the vast spectrum of human existence, from ecstatic bliss to deep depression, sadness, and rage.

At the Boulder Psychic Institute, we focus on creating a safe space where individuals can inhabit and explore any of these emotional states. By granting oneself permission, one can avoid getting trapped in any particular vibration and have the freedom to choose and navigate through various emotional experiences.

Often, people find themselves stuck in depression, anger, or other negative states because there’s no space or permission to have that feeling. Society deems it wrong or unacceptable, leading individuals to suppress or hide these emotions. However, by embracing permission, we can give ourselves the time and space to be angry, sad, or any other feeling without judgment. Only when we are neutral can we have the power to shift to where we want to be. This is where the magic lies—having the permission to be fully present to wherever you are in every moment empowers you to transform and transcend.

In a world where spirituality and metaphysics can be met with skepticism or doubt, how do you address skeptics and help individuals who may be hesitant to explore their spiritual side?

Unlike traditional marketing strategies that focus on targeting pain points, pursuing clients aggressively, and closing sales, my approach at the Boulder Psychic Institute is to let people come to me. There is less karma in attracting students versus convincing them to work with me. As long as I’m a role model for healthy energy hygiene and illuminating my energy from within, the right students will find me at just the right time in their lives.

I maintain the same philosophy regarding skeptics. I like to provide ample space and permission for individuals to be where they are on their own unique journeys. Whether someone embraces atheistic beliefs or explores alternative paths, I honor their choices and meet them where they are without imposing my ideology or playing the role of a savior. Everyone is on their own path, and if theirs differs from mine, I offer blessings and support, appreciating their uniqueness. My approach has no hierarchy of superiority or inferiority. Really, who am I to judge?
