Continuous Learning and Evolution with Vlad

Continuous Learning and Evolution with Vlad

MysticMag introduces Vlad, the founder of ReikiScoop. Born in Bucharest, Romania, Vlad was always drawn to the spiritual and esoteric world, despite a conservative upbringing. His journey led him to discover Reiki, a transformative experience that shaped his perspective profoundly. Since 2005, Vlad has immersed himself in Reiki, attaining Master Degree Level in four Reiki Systems and gaining insights from renowned therapists and writers. Alongside his Reiki practice, Vlad’s passion for traveling has broadened his understanding of life’s diverse perspectives. Through ReikiScoop, Vlad aims to share the wisdom of Reiki, offering articles and courses to enhance well-being and promote continuous learning and evolution.

Vlad, can you share a bit about your personal journey with Reiki and how it has influenced your life and perspective?

I started becoming interested in spiritual ideas and practices when I was pretty young, around 14 or 15 years old. My older sister was already into reading Buddhist texts, which sparked my curiosity. Eventually, at 19, I had a teacher who introduced me to Reiki. Initially, I didn’t know what Reiki was, but after experiencing it firsthand, I became intrigued. I decided to attend a Reiki course, starting with levels one and two.
At first, I was a bit confused about the symbols and the whole concept, especially since it was a crash course over a weekend. However, my interest grew over time. I continued attending courses and seminars twice a week, learning from different teachers. I even participated in meditation sessions, which I initially underestimated but later realized their significant impact on my awareness and overall well-being.
Reiki brought about profound changes in my life, from improving my cognitive functions to enhancing my emotional awareness. It transformed my perspective on life and continues to be a journey of discovery, particularly in understanding the connections between myself and others.

You mentioned the concept of “Purple Cow” by Seth Godin and how it relates to Reiki practitioners. How do you see Reiki practitioners standing out in today’s world, and why is it important?

The concept of the “purple cow” wasn’t something I stumbled upon by myself. It was actually introduced to me by a long-time friend and colleague who excels in marketing and digitalization. I found myself struggling with how to present my knowledge and expertise in Reiki and spiritual practices to the world in a unique way. While I greatly admired my teachers and their dedication, I wanted to approach things differently. I wanted to share my knowledge with those who might not have easy access to it and still have time to enjoy life outside of work. This shift in perspective led me to dedicate myself to teaching Reiki and spiritual practices in my own way, aiming to stand out and offer a fresh perspective to others. My colleague, who handles the digital aspects, helped me refine my ideas and present them in a more engaging and appealing manner, ultimately contributing to the creation of what we call the “purple cow” house.
As for the role of Reiki practitioners in today’s world, especially considering recent events, I believe that any spiritual practice, including Reiki, has the potential to bring light and positivity to the world. While it may not bring about immediate change, every small contribution to the collective spiritual growth helps elevate the overall vibration of the planet for the better. It’s not for everyone, and that’s okay, but for those who are interested, it can be a powerful tool for introspection and understanding one’s connection with the world.

Traveling seems to have had a significant impact on your outlook on life. How has your experience as a traveler shaped your understanding of balance and well-being, particularly in relation to Reiki practice?

Reiki was the catalyst for a profound shift in my perspective, not just about myself, but also about my connection to the world and the people around me. It taught me to understand people in a deeper way, to see beyond their actions and behaviors, and to recognize that there’s always a reason behind them. As I embarked on my first journey abroad in 2007 with my sister to Malaysia, I was initially terrified of flying. However, the experience of meeting people from diverse backgrounds during a Reiki course opened my eyes to the beauty of human connection. I realized my love for travel and made a commitment to explore a new destination every year, particularly in Asia. Over the years, as I combined my spiritual values from Reiki with my observations of different cultures and experiences in aviation, it changed the way I perceived the world. I believe that through these encounters, I’ve been able to bring a little more light and understanding to the people I’ve met, forging friendships that have endured across borders. My travels, especially to countries like Japan and Vietnam, have been immensely enriching and transformative.

ReikiScoop aims to bridge the gap between Reiki enthusiasts and their journey towards success. Could you elaborate on how ReikiScoop accomplishes this goal and what sets it apart from other resources?

Success, from my perspective, is deeply intertwined with the core purpose of helping others. Without this foundational principle, there would be no Reiki practice, website, or content. The essence of success lies in the genuine desire to support individuals on their Reiki journey, to aid them in their emotional and mental well-being, and to provide guidance in achieving balance in their lives.
Financial success, while important, is not the primary focus. Rather, it’s about the impact we make on others’ lives and the growth and development we facilitate within ourselves and our community. Building something meaningful from scratch requires immense dedication, effort, and learning. There have been numerous challenges along the way, but we remain committed to reaching as many people as possible who are seeking to develop their Reiki practice or improve their overall well-being. Success, in this context, is about finding balance and fulfillment in our mission to help others while continually learning and growing ourselves.

Looking ahead, what are your plans for the future of ReikiScoop? How do you envision the platform continuing to support and empower Reiki enthusiasts on their paths?

It’s true that we’ve been quite occupied with our social media efforts lately, especially with our focus on YouTube and Instagram to reach a wider audience and share valuable insights. While managing our online presence and membership has been demanding, I’ve been feeling a strong desire to get back to creating new courses and content. I’m particularly excited about the idea of developing a course specifically for Reiki teachers, covering everything from the fundamentals to advanced techniques, including both Usui and Shambhala Reiki systems. Shambhala Reiki, in particular, holds a special place in my heart, and I’m eager to dedicate the time needed to do it justice.
Additionally, I’m keen on expanding our collection of books, perhaps with more instructional guides or insightful resources. Engaging with our community is also a top priority for me—I recently reached out via email to gather insights and concerns from our audience, as I believe there’s always something to learn from their perspectives. Being a Reiki teacher isn’t just about imparting knowledge; it’s a lifelong journey of growth and understanding, where we continually evolve alongside those we teach and guide. As I continue to develop the Reiki School, my aim is to foster a supportive community where everyone can learn, grow, and find inspiration together.
