“Everything begins with an emotion” - Wendie Riley

MysticMag chats with Wendie Riley from Life Reset Healing Arts, a beacon of light in the realm of spiritual work, known as a way-shower, leading by example. Her journey involves carving a unique path that’s observed by the world, driven by an insatiable desire to create, learn, and make a positive impact. Wendie is a passionate healer, teacher, writer, and artist. Her connection with the elements and solar/lunar energies is deeply rooted, and her spiritual awakening was inherent from birth. She’s attuned to the transformative power of music, the beauty of nature, and the profound sensations that resonate within her very being.

You offer various energy healing modalities like The Emotion Code, Access Bars, and Bach Flower Remedies. How did you discover these modalities, and what led you to believe in the power of energy healing as a transformative force in people’s lives?

Everything I’ve found and learned has been an evolution based on what I was searching for to heal myself and my own life. One piece would lead to this and then to that, and so on. It was never going from A to B to C, but a series of steps and zigzags until all of the pieces began to fit together. As I worked with a particular type of healer or was led to a modality, it would open up my own gifts and talents or expand upon what I was already doing. There have been occasions where I have been given a download and can see the big picture through space, time, and lifetimes and how all of the pieces connect. For example, after I took training in Bach Flower Remedies, I refused to use the knowledge. It made zero sense as to why I took this training, bought all of the supplies, and yet was resisting offering services for something that I had used on myself and knew worked quickly, easily, and profoundly.

As I was working on myself to release my heart wall using Emotion Code, I was given a download during a meditation where I was shown a previous life in which I had used herbs to heal people and was hanged for it. I was shown all of the ins and outs of how it related to this life and work and challenges. The clearing of the trapped emotions related to that life and the insight received from that download, instantly opened up a locked piece inside me and I immediately began to offer Bach Remedies. I never would have been given the information if I hadn’t used Emotion Code to release what was trapped in the heart wall, preventing me from doing what I love out of fear of persecution and death if I did. Everything works in circles. There are never straight lines.

Your approach to healing seems to focus on changing one’s frequency and emotional vibration. Can you explain how this works and how it differs from traditional therapeutic methods?

Everything begins with an emotion that vibrates at a particular frequency, that leads to emotional, physical, mental, spiritual, sexual, or financial problems. There is the saying, “As above, so below. Well, it’s very true. Everything begins as frequency based on feeling about an experience, whether our own or something absorbed from those around us or inherited through epigenetics, and manifests into the physical world.

So, if we want to unwind what has manifested that we don’t care for, we have to get to the inharmonious beginning root of an issue and change where we are vibrating at to get the results we want. And unlike many talk therapies or modalities that force you to relive traumatic experiences or discuss them ad nauseam (which just drives that frequency stronger and deeper into you), I use techniques that target the emotion without forcing you to reexperience the trauma.

You don’t need to know what the trauma is, where it came from, who’s it was, etc. None of that matters. If the subconscious ever needs you to know something, it will tell you! Otherwise, the focus is on letting go of whatever it is, known or unknown, from whenever it came from, past or present, with grace and ease. I use my personal gifts, talents, and trainings with the quantum world to shift the energy.

Your journey seems to have been filled with both challenges and moments of profound transformation. Could you share a personal experience that exemplifies the power of energy healing in your own life and how it changed your perspective?

I could give you a myriad of hardcore, traumatic examples, but instead I’ll give you one of my favorites. Even though I am highly spiritual and faith driven, I am also very logical and I want proof that things work. When I started to use Bach Remedies I needed to use it on something measurable that would “prove” it worked. I chose my incredible irritation with traffic and other drivers who are rude, don’t follow basic traffic rules, etc. I sat down and came up with a formula I thought would work, took it and immediately went out to do some errands.

It wasn’t until later that night that I realized I hadn’t even paid attention to anyone else while I had been driving around. The whole afternoon had been relaxed and pleasant as I drove from place to place. I started laughing when I realize it was the first day in probably 10 years that I hadn’t yelled at, gotten upset with, or flipped off another driver. I said, “Boy this stuff actually works”, and I’ve used it ever since.

As a way-shower and healer, what advice would you give to someone who feels stuck and unfulfilled in their life, but is unsure how to begin the process of inner healing and transformation?

First, tell your higher self, your team, God, the angels… whoever you believe in… that you want help. Ask them to send you the people, places, and things that you need. Then pay attention. If someone or something shows up… don’t ignore it or downplay whatever it is. Begin saying yes to things and paying attention to what and who is around you. The messages and signs and help are all around, but Spirit speaks to us quietly most of the time and you have to pay attention. The simplest way to start anything is to meditate. Prayer is for talking, but meditation is for listening! So if you want answers, start spending time getting quiet and being open to hear.

Honesty, transparency, and integrity are core values for you. How do these values play a role in your healing practice, and how do you create a safe and compassionate space for your clients to explore their emotions and traumas?

There is a perception that in the “spiritual world”, everyone is above board, honest, working in the best interest of clients. But that actually isn’t necessarily true. People are people, and unfortunately even in the world of energy work and spirituality there are those who are simply trying to make a fast buck and exploit others at their lowest points. I see this happen and it makes me incredibly sad because it taints the spiritual world and negatively affects the whole industry as a whole, making clients skeptical and questioning intentions.

My biggest lessons in life have been the opposite side of the coin to my core values. For example, my number one value is honesty, and yet I have been deeply betrayed by almost every friend and family member over the course of my life. Nearly every employer I have worked for has demonstrated a mild to serious lack of integrity in business or in how they treat their employees and customers, driving me to work for myself and reaffirming that I wish to uphold higher than average standards for myself and my clients. And most dramatic of all, my entire world imploded and my marriage of almost 30 years ended in a split second when I discovered heinous truths about my husband. The shock of realizing that our entire life had been built on lies and deception and that none of us had ever really known this person caused a serious spiritual crisis that took tremendous work and surrender to recover from, but which also led me into a deepening of my faith and into the healing practice I have today, which would not have occurred otherwise.

Greatness in life comes from the darkest moments! The moments that challenge every part of yourself and your faith, and propel you into something so far beyond who you thought you were, who you thought you could be, and just how much you thought you could take! I’ve been through the fire time and time again. I’ve had more “tower moments” than I ever thought I would have to endure. My values have been challenged at every turn. And every bit of it has been so that I could testify to how you can come out the other side better than ever, so that I could help another through the worst chapters of their life and truly support them. I’ve been through it. I know what it’s like. I’ve found what I feel are the best ways to use my training, my experience, and my talents and gifts to help others.

When my life is complete, I hope I leave knowing that I contributed in the biggest way possible, gave as much as I could to the greatest number of people I could, in the deepest and most profound ways. I wish to leave behind an incredibly long line of people who feel that I contributed positively to their life and that I meant something to them…because everyone in my personal and professional life, good or bad, has meant something to me that made me who I am and I am truly grateful. And, ironically, those who have hurt me the deepest are those that I am most profoundly grateful for!
