Can you tell us more about your journey into holistic health and what inspired you to become a Holistic Health Practitioner, Certified Nutritional Consultant, and Medical Intuitive?

Being a Medical Intuitive is not what I set out to do; however, it chose me and is very rewarding. I was born extremely intuitive, seeing and feeling things beyond this physical realm. I see energy in color and I see other beings. I see and feel emotions and energies – not just mine, but others.

I am more sensitive and perceptive than most people, and can preemptively work with things because I perceive them energetically before others do. It is a blessing because I’ve been able to develop a framework that allows me to help myself and others in tremendous ways. I can see where blockages in the energetic system are and help others release them to restore a healthy energy flow.

I began my journey in holistic health because I was often sick throughout my childhood and adolescence. In College, I became very ill with what would be dubbed Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and after countless Doctors could find nothing wrong, I was bed-ridden for 6 months. I began holistic diets and therapies and studied holistic healing and my health improved. I began my formal education in Holistic Nutrition and vitality returned. I married and had two children by natural childbirth with a spiritual birth midwife. I earned Masters and Doctorate degrees in Holistic Nutrition and opened a practice in Natural Health. That was 30 years ago!

Your specialty involves unlayering toxins that burden the immune system. Could you elaborate on how these toxins impact overall health and contribute to issues like chronic fatigue, digestive disturbances, allergies, and hormone imbalance?

We live in a world with a multitude of toxins. Toxins come from both inside and outside the body – the body’s metabolic waste products and outside toxins that enter through various channels. These impact our health in significant ways that lead to degeneration and disease, including many chronic illnesses. When we detoxify the body’s organs and eliminative channels, function and vitality can return.

Having been immersed in natural health, meditation, spirituality, and personal development for over 25 years, how do you go about empowering others to heal physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually?

I offer tools and techniques for self-healing and growth, such as online courses, individual consultations and group meditation. While I offer basic health principles and healthy practices, I encourage others to find their own answers. There is no one-size-fits-all formula. We have to honor our body and mind as they hold their own unique wisdom.

You give regular meditations and workshops that encourage healthy living. What role do these activities play in promoting holistic well-being, and how can individuals benefit from incorporating them into their lives?

Returning to the basic core principles of health that create the foundation for healthy living is the heart of the teachings. Learning and incorporating the basic principles that every body needs to thrive plays a significant role in preventative and long term health.

By learning self-care techniques and how to nourish oneself, we take our health into our own hands and take responsibility for our own well-being. Meditation is backed by clinical as well as empirical evidence of numerous health benefits, such as lowering blood pressure and normalizing heart rate, reducing stress and having a positive outlook.

For our readers who may be interested in improving their overall well-being, what advice would you offer for incorporating holistic practices into their daily lives?

I would say to really tune into what you need – physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. You know you best and are the advocate for you. See what step(s) you can take to bring balance and happiness to your life. Connect with nature regularly. Our system is built from natural elements and has to be honoured and replenished as such. There is no substitute for basic self care.
