Years of personal development work were essential for Aida to change her perspective and break free from toxic relationship cycles and life patterns. At that point, she hadn’t realized how much of her power she had given away, nor did she understand that she could reclaim it. Learning how to do so transformed her life in ways she had never imagined.
Aida’s transformative journey allowed her to heal generational trauma and connect with her inner truth, wholeness, and light. The profound impact of this work inspired her to become certified to guide others on their healing journeys.
Her dedication to yoga spanned more than 20 years, and in 2022, she completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training. She furthered her yoga training by adding another 300 hours in 2023, totaling 500 YTT hours. In addition to yoga, Aida became a Reiki Master and a Transformational Breathwork Facilitator. As a lifelong dancer, she discovered how dance helped release stagnant energy from her body during the quarantine. Aida is eager to share the power of these techniques with others, as they have healed her mentally, spiritually, emotionally, and physically.
Aida Lembo considers it an honor to impart these modalities to others, with the hope that they too can lead better, brighter lives.

Could you explain the principles of Reiki and how it facilitates healing and balance in the body’s energy system?
Reiki is a spiritual life force energy that each of us already has inside. During a healing session, the practitioner may use light touch (or a hands-off approach) around certain areas of the body to help remove stagnant or misguided energies that could be blocking you from connecting with your truth. The seven main chakras (energy centers) of the body help our organs and our minds. If they are blocked, then they may manifest in ways such as experiences of emotional pain, thoughts of insecurity, worthlessness, loneliness, and physical disturbances, such as headaches and indigestion. Reiki helps to align the chakras bringing more peace and harmony to the individual. This will allow us to live a more peaceful and authentic life since we are connecting to the truest part of who we are. Reiki is deeply relaxing and safe. It has been known to help with insomnia, anxiety, depression, heartache, emotional trauma, and physical or mental illnesses. The client will lay still on a flat surface (it can also be done while seated) and may experience moments of emotional or physical release, jolts of energy, colorful visions, and restful sleep, amongst other relaxing acts, such as a feeling of floating.
I was introduced to this special healing modality over a decade ago, but it wasn’t until I received a powerful reiki session from a friend in early 2022 I realized I needed to get certified in this life-altering practice. It truly helped me connect to my most authentic self. I wanted to be able to give myself self-reiki treatments so that I didn’t have to rely on others to make me feel at peace. I slowly began gifting sessions to friends to help them feel better about themselves and because their lives were also being affected by these compelling treatments, I knew it was something I had to continue to do.
Transformational Breathwork is known for its ability to promote emotional release and personal growth. Can you share a case where someone experienced a profound transformation through this practice?
Transformational Breathwork is a three-part breath done with the mouth open to stimulate the sympathetic nervous system (fight or flight). Sessions can last 15-30 minutes and helps to release trauma from the body. It is an active, embodied practice where you are inhaling and exhaling with no break in between breaths. You will be breathing in a way that allows access to an unconventional state of consciousness, opening up a dialogue with the healing intelligence of the body by turning down that critical, judgmental part of your brain. This allows one to connect to a higher power or higher self. It is similar to an intense workout and could help you release emotionally or physically. Most of us are holding our breath or breathing really shallow in our chest which is why we may feel anxious, stressed, or depressed. This pattern of breathing can help you change the emotion so you can then, in turn, change your life.
One client experienced a release of emotions that she didn’t even know were there. She felt that there were sentiments blocked and stored in her that the breathwork helped unlock. She was able to free herself of some intense feelings and also address her tumultuous relationship with her father. She felt lighter, more relaxed, vulnerable, and empowered once she came out of the session. Breathwork is a great tool for processing areas in our lives where we may feel energetically stuck and emotionally blocked. My client claimed to have confronted a trauma that had been haunting her her entire life. Since this release, she has been less triggered by the relationship she once had with her father. This was a huge step forward in her life and also helped her become more open to other unfamiliar healing modalities such as reiki and ecstatic dance.
Yoga encompasses various styles and traditions. What style of yoga do you specialize in, and how does it contribute to physical, mental, and spiritual well-being?
There are so many different styles of yoga one can practice. I specialize in Adaptive Yoga which is accessible to everyone as multiple variations are taught for all body types and abilities. I also teach Hatha yoga which focuses on the breath and slow, controlled movements, and Vinyasa yoga which connects the breath to movement at a quicker pace. All yoga practices help one to become stronger, more flexible, and most importantly, embodied. If we are not connecting with our bodies, then we are unable to have the hard conversations, make the difficult decisions, or sometimes even take the next big step in our lives. We practice yoga so we can learn how to remain calm and breathe through challenging postures so we can also respond in this calm way to difficult situations off the mat. This practice is a stress reducer that brings us closer to our truth so we can transform physically, mentally, and spiritually by connecting with the Source, God, our higher self (whichever resonates with you), and this beautiful human vessel we were given.
Ecstatic Dance is a unique and expressive form of movement. How does it foster self-expression and connection to one’s body and emotions?
Ecstatic dance is a freestyle technique that allows one to release stagnant energies in the body that may inhibit or limit one’s action or purpose. You will be inspired and energized through movement and music. There are no rules and you can dance with your eyes open or closed, with or without music, indoors or outside, as quickly, slowly, or erratically as you wish. This type of unrestricted movement allows the music to put you in a trance, ecstatic, or meditative state helping to release any worry, doubt, or fear and truly live in the here and now.
I have danced with the young and the elderly, with the flashy and the frightened, with those who are avid dancers, and those who have trouble tapping their feet to a beat. All have felt a sense of freedom and release once fully committed to the feeling the music sparked inside of them. It is as blissful as it is exciting and can be done anywhere anytime.
Sound Baths often use sound frequencies for relaxation and healing. Can you explain the science behind how sound therapy impacts the mind and body positively?
The frequencies of crystal sound bowls, gongs, tuning forks, and other instruments used for sound bath healing can help generate a relaxation response in the brain and body. Brain waves are what control your emotions and your thoughts. If you can change their molecular structure and re-tune them, then you can actively change their frequency and bring the individual to a relaxing, meditative state. Sound Baths are a fascinating tool to alter the state of mind by using sound and vibrations. This can help to reduce tension, anger, fatigue, and depression while promoting overall physical and mental well-being. Those who have difficulty focusing may now be able to experience deep relaxation and calm. Those who have sunk into deep depressive states may now be able to sense a feeling of peace and self-worth. Headaches may go away, eyesight may return, and blood pressure and heart rates may lower. There’s no telling what sort of inner balance and health can be restored once brain waves are reset to elicit a pleasant response and bring the body into healing mode.
