How did you get into holistic health coaching and what sparked your interest in the field?

I became a Holistic Hormone & Gut Health Coach because of my own health struggles in my late 20s. I had brain fog, digestion issues, extreme fatigue, brittle hair & nails, and I started getting painful cystic acne. When many different medications over 3+ years only exasperated my issues, I knew something was going on inside my body that I needed to get to the root cause of. This took me on a long and frustrating healing journey but throughout it all I learned so much and absolutely loved the way I started to feel. I became the person my friends and family came to for health advice and decided to get certified to help others heal without as much stress and overwhelm.

What ideas do you base your coaching on?

I use a completely holistic approach with my clients. The goal is always to get to the root cause so my clients can heal from the inside out.

On top of nutrition, what other aspects do you focus on with your clients?

We do work on nutrition, which is very important, but other factors impact our health, like our stress, physical activity, sleep, relationships, career, creativity, etc. I use a whole-body approach rather than just focusing on one single symptom.

What is, in your opinion, the most important advance you could give to people who are constantly lacking energy?

In my work, my advice is always personalized to each client so it is hard to give blanket advice but I would say make sure you are hydrating well with electrolytes, getting 7-8 hours of restorative sleep a night, and moving your body for 15 minutes a day. These are simple but impactful methods to increase our body’s energy supply at a cellular level.
