Harmony Restored - Exploring Betül Demirkıran's Holistic Healing Approach

Harmony Restored - Exploring Betül Demirkıran's Holistic Healing Approach

In a world where stress and trauma often leave deep imprints on our psyche, individuals seek solace and restoration. Enter Betül Demirkıran, a multifaceted professional adept in the arts of healing. As an EMDR practitioner, Family Counselor, Kosmozenergy, and Bioreprogramming Practitioner, Betül stands at the intersection of traditional therapy and holistic wellness, offering a unique blend of modalities to guide her clients towards inner peace and harmony. In this article, Mystic Mag delves into Betül’s journey, her expertise, and the transformative power she brings to those in need.

How do you integrate EMDR therapy techniques into your family counseling sessions, and what benefits have you observed from this approach?

In family counseling, it is usually a single person who seeks counseling. Typically, within the family system, one individual bears all the responsibilities and is often scapegoated. Therefore, it is usually the lone person, often a woman, who seeks counseling. With EMDR, we typically address traumatic experiences that occur within the family. As these traumas are addressed, the toxic patterns within the relationship also begin to change. When these patterns change, the dynamics within the family start to shift. Indeed, a change in one person within the family dynamic naturally initiates changes in others.

Can you explain how Kosmozenergy and Bioreprogramming complement each other in your therapeutic practice, and how do you incorporate these modalities into your work with clients?

In Biopreprogramming counseling, we address individuals’ emotional wounds by starting from their physical illnesses. We now understand that the body is our personal space where our emotions and thoughts express themselves. In this counseling approach, while working on the emotions that cause the person to become ill, we also address the perspectives, core beliefs, and childhood experiences that contribute to the development of those emotions and behaviors. Integrating Cosmoenergy work into this counseling approach, we assist in resolving blockages in the body that hinder the person’s life, which may not be noticeable during counseling sessions but are present in the energy body.

What type of services do you offer?

I mostly work by combining all the techniques I have received training in and become an expert into a single package. For example, in Feminine Energy work, I use a combination of EMDR, astrology, Bach Flower remedies, and cosmoenergy techniques. These sessions typically last for about 10 sessions. Since I believe that astrology also contributes significantly to psychology, I have received training in astrology for years.

What inspired you to pursue training in EMDR therapy, and how has it influenced your perspective on treating trauma within family dynamics?

The reason I became an EMDR specialist is because I underwent EMDR sessions during a challenging period in my life. I also went through a tough time, and EMDR was a technique I turned to during that period. Later on, my mother also received EMDR sessions because she had panic disorder. After witnessing the changes and improvements in both my mother and myself, I became interested in the EMDR technique. I received training from some excellent professionals in this field. In my opinion, every member of a family should work with the EMDR technique at least a few times. Because when one family heals, it transforms into a positive wave that spreads throughout the entire community.

How do you maintain a balance between addressing immediate family issues and implementing long-term strategies for sustainable growth and healing in your counseling sessions?

My counseling sessions don’t last for a long time. From the beginning, I’ve been focused on learning shorter-term and more effective techniques. I know that people face challenges in their lives regarding time and money. Therefore, I have always questioned how to create a more healing impact in less time. Bach Flower therapy is an effective technique that works with emotions and traumas in a very short period. I provide counseling sessions to the same person for a maximum of 3 times. I also combine EMDR with Bach Flowers, which allows us to achieve more effective results in a shorter time. The goal of each technique is to reveal the person’s inner pharmacy, enabling them to help themselves. The sooner this can be done for the individual, the better.

How do you practice self-care to maintain your own well-being?

My journey of recognizing and healing my own wounds began with becoming a mother. I experienced postpartum depression after a traumatic cesarean birth, and it lasted for a long time. During that period, I started psychotherapy. I compiled all the changes I experienced into a book to serve as an example for other mothers. Later on, I pursued a master’s in psychology and wrote my second book on epigenetics and emotional healing. Then, I wrote my third book, explaining why women repeat their mothers’ destinies. I apply every technique I learn to my own life first. Because I can only take my clients as far as I’ve gone. I apply these techniques to myself during difficult times. I haven’t been in therapy with someone else for a long time. Exercise and meditation are essential parts of my daily routine. Because physical movement and mental tranquility can restore a person’s health. In addition to that, I incorporate rituals from ancient traditions into my life. I strive to keep my own mental health balanced so that I can be of help to others.
