Your journey into spiritual mentoring and ascension coaching is fascinating. Can you share a bit more about the turning point or experiences in your life that led you to pursue this path of helping others connect to their highest selves and achieve inner wellness?

I have had spiritual gifts my entire life, but had suppressed them out of fear for many different reasons. Add on top of this my unresolved trauma and unprocessed emotions, and it manifested into the physical illnesses of Crohn’s disease & Endometriosis. This wasn’t enough though, because the turning point for me was in 2017, when I plummeted in my physical health and was in so much pain daily that it affected my mental and emotional health. I had a suicidal thought and in that moment I knew that I really needed to change something in my health. I knew I had to fight for my life, not only for myself, but for my children and husband. It was through exploration of how to heal my physical body through holistic methods, that I reconnected with my body and then my spiritual gifts began to blossom again. It was about a year-long process of working on my physical and spiritual body that I also discovered that I had a lot of unprocessed emotions and trauma that I needed to address. I knew then that people needed to know that changing our lives and our health is not just about healing the physical body, but it includes our spiritual, mental and emotional bodies as well. My Inner Wellness was created in 2018, and ever since I have made it my life’s work to help people learn and gain this knowledge.

My Inner Wellness offers a variety of services, including energy balancing, spiritual wellness, and treatments like the Amethyst Infrared Biomat. Can you explain how these services work and what individuals can expect from them in terms of their overall well-being and healing?

With the Amethyst Infrared Biomat that service you can come in for a duration of 30 or 60 minutes depending on your needs, and you just get to relax on the mat and listen to some healing frequencies. The combination of the amethyst, infrared and PEMF has many different benefits including but not limited to: helping your body release toxins, clearing and balancing your energetic field, reducing stiffness or pain in your joints and muscles, immune boosting, reducing inflammation, reducing stress, and improving sleep.

When you see me for an energetic balancing session we discuss what the intention is that you are desiring from your visit, because there is a lot of power in setting an intention with your session. I then assess your chakra energy points and then you just get to relax into the experience. If you’ve never had an energy session just note that you can experience an array of things such as having visions, memories come up, seeing colors or shapes, and can also feel different physical sensations in your body. Whatever happens is significant to you, and I’ve also had some just fall asleep because their body needs the rest. In regards to what clients can see as benefits from a session, it really is going to vary on each individual and their journey. I like to note that no one’s journey is going to be like everyone else’s, because we are all unique. I typically see benefits of: stress reduction, increased relaxation, feeling lighter, the release of stored emotions to create emotional stability, decreased pain, reduced anxiety or depression symptoms, clearing of generational traumas, awakened connection to your intuition, enhanced focus, a strengthened immune system, and so much more.

The transition from physical to emotional and spiritual healing is an important aspect of your journey. How did you navigate this transformation, and what advice do you have for those who might be on a similar path of healing past traumas and self-limiting beliefs?

Whew. It comes down to you needing to be ready to surrender to the process. I honestly thought after my physical health was in an amazing place and I had taken my life back in that area, that I was done healing. Man did my spiritual guides say, “jokes on you lady if you thought that was it!” As I’ve grown my connection to my spiritual guides I have learned they have a sense of humor, and we have a great relationship, but initially I would be so mad because I was like this is far from funny. Little did I know then, that we actually create our own suffering. Now I really appreciate the sense of humor because it makes what feels so heavy at times, feel lighter to bear. Back to the question, it comes down to I really had to get out of my own way and realize that I do not have control over my healing process. We are divinely supported in our healing, and they know exactly what we can handle and how much we can handle when it comes to navigating this. So know that you will need to surrender, and release trying to control how your healing unfolds. When I tried to ignore and control how my healing unfolded, it made things that much harder on me emotionally. I felt like I was never going to get through it, and couldn’t figure out why all these “bad” things kept happening. As soon as I let go of the reins, my healing was smoother. It doesn’t mean that the things I was still needing to heal through were not hard, but it did not feel so chaotic and like someone was punching me in the gut every time. So let go of control, and just see the things that Universe puts in front of you, because they are orchestrating every single part of your journey behind the scenes. Listen to your body, is it a yes or a no? Try not to be in your mind so much, because that’s when the ego can try to sneak in and control things.

As a spiritual mentor and ascension coach, what are some common challenges or roadblocks you’ve observed in people’s journeys to self-discovery and wellness, and how do you help them overcome these obstacles?

Common challenges I see in people, is that they do not realize the work that will have to go into self-discovery and their wellness. This is usually because they are only thinking of the one problem that feels really prevalent that they want to fix, but what they do not understand is the multiple layers of their body. So while they may come in to see me for a physical issue, really there is a deep emotional root to it, and they can really struggle with seeing that emotional layer that they’ve forgotten or tried to avoid for so long. Your journey has so much depth in it, and some people are not prepared for going into the depths, and that is okay. I help people overcome this by always sharing with them that healing happens when they are ready, and they can’t force something they are not yet ready to dive into. I give them tools for where they are at right now, and we make baby steps into obtaining self-awareness and wellness. I never want to overwhelm someone, because the goal is not for you to leave your session feeling more stress. I encourage people to communicate with me, where they are at, how they feel about things that I have suggested for their journey. I do this because they know what feels safe and comfortable for them right now, and yes they will need to push through the uncomfortable, but we do this in a gentle manner. My goal is always to make my clients feel safe, heard and supported in their journey. This gives them the empowerment to keep going in their journey and not take on too much too fast and quit.

Many people seek guidance and inspiration to lead a more fulfilling life. What are some key insights or practices you often share with your clients to help them live a life full of joy, abundance, and connection to their higher selves?

I want you to remember that when you make the decision to make changes in your health to begin healing, that the things that you are trying to heal from do not get healed in one month. This is likely stuff that you have been dealing with for years, so you need to give it time, because it did not happen overnight. Also we think we may know what it is that we need help with but then you get into your healing and things can come up that you never even thought about, or that have escaped your awareness until the present moment. This is okay. Working on yourself has so many layers, and that is normal. We are a multifaceted being. Give yourself grace and compassion, and find a great support system, and a practitioner that really hears what you are saying and empowers you in your journey.
Some tools that have really been helpful in my personal journey and that I use with clients are inner child journaling, writing forgiveness letters to yourself and others, writing things down every day that I am grateful for, and daily meditation or time of silence to just connect with myself.
I often like to point out to people that we are responsible for our own joy and abundance. These things do not come from outside of us. Yes we can have joyful experiences, but in the end it is where you are at internally with yourself and that reflects back at you in your surroundings. So if you feel really awful internally, you will only see bad things externally, even if this is not necessarily the truth of reality. So remember that our external reality is only a mirror to what we are feeling internally.
One more thing that really has changed the trajectory of my life is that even in times of what feels like sadness or chaos, is to stop and allow myself to feel my feelings. Then after I allow my feelings and emotions to have validity, then I look at it and see what I can learn from this experience. What does it show me about myself that needs growth or healing yet? When you look at it with gratitude for what life experiences show us, your life really changes.
