The Unguarded Heart - Joann Malanga, Soul Integration Coach/RTT Hypnosis/Reiki

MysticMag introduces Joann Malanga, Soul Integration Coach who embarked on her journey in the Senior Living industry as a nurse’s aide at just 19, balancing this with college. She was deeply affected by the care and neglect she witnessed among the residents, overworked nurses and caregivers sparking a desire for change and a better quality of care. This ignited her passion for conscious leadership, leading her to start her healing journey in 2007. Transitioning from a 30-year career in healthcare, Joann now focuses on helping individuals remove subconscious blocks to empower them in moving beyond trauma and addiction consciousness. Her mission is to awaken and empower others, facilitating their ascension and the integration of their multifaceted selves with shadow work. With her extensive experience and intuitive abilities, Joann provides unique insights and transformative healing through RTT Hypnotherapy, Universal Ray Healing and Shamanic practices, aiming to uproot deep-seated traumas and belief systems. She believes in the power of connection and community, advocating for unity and conscious living.

Joann, can you share more about the concept of “Soul Integration” and how it differs from traditional life coaching or therapy?

Soul integration coaching focuses on dismantling and dissolving the emotional and mental roots, aligning energetically with life at a deeper level. Soul Coaching focuses on healing the soul and all the lives that we have lived here in the 3D and beyond. Our bodies are not just physical; they are composed of 12 energetic bodies. Through hands-on healing, we focus on the 12 bodies that hold memories/trauma and introspection as we integrate all aspects of ourselves, including the parts we may not like or that have been shadowed and pushed to the side. There are journal prompts, meditations, and other prompts for the individual to help the emotional body process as well when the modality is performed.

This approach goes beyond traditional life coaching by delving into the origins of these issues, whether they stem from childhood experiences, traumatic experiences throughout life, or observations of parental relationships and intimate relationships. By addressing these deep-seated issues, only then can we truly move forward and manifest positive change both in our consciousness and around within humanity. Think of a dirty garbage disposal. If you keep putting garbage in the channel it will clog. This is exactly what happens with the 12 bodies. At one point, it is going to scream loud to share what’s going on!

My focus on the soul is essential because without integrating all aspects of the soul, body, mind, and soul, true transformation cannot occur. If we are out of alignment in one area of life, then chances are we are out of alignment in other areas. Practices like energy clearing, soul integration coaching and shadow work/reiki transformation can happen pretty quickly.
I work to facilitate the shift in consciousness and help the client release the deeply anchored beliefs and patterns that hold them back. This approach has proven to be the most effective in my experience to shift the person’s life in profound lives and help people ascend. I work with the angelic realm, prana energy, universal ray healing, and council of light. Sometimes, we may even have additional healing come in such as light-language.

What inspired you to become a Soul Integration Coach, and how has your background in healthcare influenced your approach to coaching and healing?

My 30-year career in healthcare was the starting point of my awakening, quite literally. As an Executive Director for various Senior Living facilities catering to the elderly in Assisted living Communities on the East Coast, I found deep fulfillment in being with our elders. I also realized how set they were in their ways and saw the physicians as “God”. No judgement here. They were not open. They were not open to holistic ways of healing. Leading the various cultures of employees opened me up in ways I never thought. It humbled me to see the diversity of the heart and the common theme of “love”. However, the hate and anger were still there within the core of their belief systems. I would sometimes see this when they would interact at parties or community gatherings. However, the demands of my role, akin to being a director of operations, often felt like a rat race. I was constantly juggling responsibilities, from ensuring families and residents were cared for to managing over a hundred staff members and being on-call 24 hours as the job demanded. This intense environment eventually led me to a breaking point – a period of depression, autoimmune diseases, and what some might call a dark night of the soul. During this time, I lost touch with friends and even parted ways with the person I thought I would marry, as they couldn’t understand the depth of my experience. I was prescribed Xanax for depression, a medication commonly used for women in similar situations, but one night, I had a profound realization. I didn’t want to end my life; I wanted my old self to die so that I could emerge anew. In a moment of clarity, I flushed my bottle of pills down the toilet and never looked back. This marked the beginning of my transformative journey. I realized that the medicine was not in a bottle, but within me and that I had the power to be and do anything I wanted.

Your program, “The Unguarded Heart,” focuses on cleansing the heart and living a fulfilling life. How do you help clients navigate through emotional challenges and find healing?

We focus on Heart healing and clearing all the energies that have been stored in the heart chakra. Reiki is used to clear blocks, bondage, cords etc.

I offer a free workshop on Eventbrite once a month- “The Unguarded Heart” -A U-Turn back to you if you feel you are ready to clear the active energies in the heart! This is monthly and free. You can also join my 13 week- coaching container which is actually a group coaching program that runs every quarter which has weekly heart activations, journal prompts, on the spot coaching and meditation for calming the nervous system. This program was born out of my own pain and healing journey, particularly in healing my heart and aligning my soul after struggling with relationships. Each week, we meet on Tuesday evenings for a session focused on healing the heart chakra. Participants are encouraged to bring up any feelings of bitterness, anger, resistance, or unresolved issues in their relationships, including the one with themselves. The workshop typically attracts 70-120 people every month, and while not everyone joins the collective container, those who do often experience significant transformations. Participants receive homework and journal prompts to deepen their self-exploration and even an invite to jump on a 1:1 call with me to see if we would be a good fit to work together. The outcomes have been remarkable, with some attendees finding new jobs, improving their relationships, moving, healing old stuck energy in their heart that they had been holding onto for some time.

The Free-workshop also offers additional coaching opportunities for those who need further support. The focus is on shifting consciousness and fostering deep personal growth within a supportive community.

Could you explain the “U-Turn Method” mentioned in your program and how it helps individuals in their healing journey?

The U-Turn Method, symbolized by “The Unguarded Heart – U-turn back to you”, embodies the essence of returning inward, back to our own self. Owning who you are and what you have caused or been part of. It’s about recentering ourselves in our own experiences, rather than projecting blame onto external circumstances or individuals. Instead of attributing our challenges to external factors like a divorce, a neighbor, or a teacher, we turn inward to examine the emotions and energies within us that require regulation and healing.

This process involves acknowledging and addressing the impact of interactions with others, such as feeling drained after certain conversations. By taking this U-turn back to ourselves, we recognize that everything in life is filtered through our soul, emphasizing the importance of inner work and self-regulation over external attributions of blame or responsibility.

How do you create a supportive community for your clients, and why is community building important in the process of personal growth and self-discovery?

Indeed, community is crucial, especially in an ideal world where we all strive to build a perfect, supportive network. My current transition involves creating a community that aligns with the soul, one where individuals are prepared to take on personal growth and embody the change they wish to see globally. In my coaching groups, we foster this sense of community, collaboration, integration, and support. While this external community is still evolving, it’s a natural process as I transition from a 30-year career in healthcare to my current role of CEO of The Integrative Conscious Vibe, LLC, which has garnered global interest in just two years.

People are not just seeking community; they’re seeking the right soul connections, transparency, soul family, the kindred spirits who are ready to delve into personal work, addressing their own energy projections and egos with honesty and compassion. People want to be free and be able to be themselves. It’s about more than just telling our stories in therapy; it’s about actively transforming ourselves and our communities.
