Learn more in her exclusive MysticMag interview below.

Can you please share a few details about yourself and your professional background with our readers?

My name is Karly Siedlecki. I started Autoimmune Warrior about 5 years ago. I did that because I had battled Graves’ disease and quite a few other chronic health challenges for many years. Five years were pretty intense and rough for me, but even before that, I had low-level health issues.

I came to Costa Rica and felt better, so I ended up staying and started developing this vision to create retreats for people who want to feel better and do a lot less. This place is very healing, so you can feel better by just being here. That’s part of the retreat, along with various self-healing techniques, including ionic foot baths, neurobiochemistry balancing technique, human garage special maneuvers, etc. There are quite a few things you can do on your own to heal yourself.

These retreats are about people learning these things, including about food, and then going back home and carrying on, in order to feel better. That’s one part of it.

I wasn’t doing therapies for a while. I was learning from my mentor, Dr. Kim, and watching him work for a long time. Now, I’m actually able to do this neurobiochemistry balancing therapy and teach people how to do it on themselves.

It’s been an interesting journey and challenge living in Costa Rica but there are a lot of great benefits health-wise, and there’s also the benefit of giving people that opportunity to go to a place, be completely taken care of, and just be able to heal and not worry about the other challenges of being in a country like Costa Rica.

What is the Recovery and Vitality® program?

The main part of it is the roadmap. Throughout my journey, I was always discovering new therapies, new triggers of illness, new products, and shifting through such a maze of options in the holistic space. That’s why I do these assessments to see where people are at in their journey, and then we create this roadmap to recovering vitality, relying on the plethora of different things I came across over the years.

This roadmap gives them a priority of what they can do next and allows them to see of all the options they might want to consider in their journey. I had to learn about these things through my own challenges and experiences, but I prefer for people to just know what they are. In that way, they can get through their journey a little bit more quickly and less expensively, as it can be very expensive to heal, especially if the process lasts long.

The program isn’t just the roadmap, as there’s guidance afterwards, too, if the person wants to go deeper into each of these subjects. If not, they still get to go home with the roadmap. After that, if they want to come to Costa Rica and go even deeper and actually receive therapies, be here, and experience the healing magic of this place, then they can do the Autoimmune Path to Recovery retreat. The next one will be held in February 2024.

One of the focus areas of the program is Self-Healing. What can you tell me about that?

Whether or not you are receiving therapy or doing it on your own, the idea is to choose a path and think of it with a goal of learning what your body needs to heal itself and what therapies promote that. Techniques that you can consider include neurobiochemistry balancing technique, which basically corrects your biochemistry so that the body has what it needs to heal itself. We’re just healing one part of you, but that’s such an important part. It’s the foundation, and there’s so much more that can happen in the healing after that.

There are also other amazing tools you can get like the ion cleanse foot bath by AMD or the Sauna Fix by Go Healthy Next. All these tools continue your healing and you can use them throughout your life. You buy them once, and they’ll help you for a long time. Of course, there are always techniques you can do on your own, relating to how you treat yourself, how you think about yourself, etc. There are also a lot of self-healing therapies that I like to share.

Furthermore, everyone should consider their environment. If you want to continue on your self-healing path, make sure you’re not being exposed to things that trigger you or diminish your vitality. Everyone knows about the toxicity of chemicals, so getting those out of your makeup, out of your body products, out of your cleaning products, etc. can be very helpful when it comes to ensuring that you’re in a natural environment.

Then we also have some more controversial areas, like electromagnetic fields from cell phones and Wi-Fi, and all these things that make your life very convenient but can also have negative effects. They are probably as important, or even more important than a clean diet and food.

That’s something I’ve gotten really heavily into. I was trained by David Stetzer, who is the guy who discovered that we have radiation coming from our electrical systems, and he had a solution for that, even though that’s not something he wanted to do. He just developed it because he felt like the world needed it. What is really important to me is mitigating EMF, which is now harder than ever, reversing the smart home addiction, and just really getting back to that natural environment. Your body is going to self-heal just by being in that environment, and I think that’s probably the most important part of the process. I teach people that in the retreats, workshops, and through one-on-one guidance.

Can you share a memorable success story?

My favorite success story is one from my last retreat. A woman attending was extremely allergic to the sun, so she was covered from head to toe at all times. The sun is the most powerful healer, and not having that exposure is like a catch-22. If it’s making her sick with rashes and other issues, we don’t want that, but it’s also diminishing her body’s ability to heal itself.

In that retreat, we used the neurobiochemistry balancing technique to heal her allergy to the sun. It was the first time in a few years that she was in the sun. We went swimming, she wore a bathing suit, and took off all the covers she used to shield herself. She even sent me home with them, just in case someone might come to me again with the same issue. To this day, she’s healed, and that’s probably the most memorable success story, but it was also the most nerve-wracking one because it was a severe allergy. It could have not gone well, but it went so well that the excitement was just incredible, and I’ll never forget it.

What is your favorite part of your profession?

I love making people happy, and when you’re healthy, you’re happy, which also makes me happy. It’s definitely a huge contrast from my corporate life, living in a high rise, going to a high rise to work, etc. I was helping people in a way through my job, but it was more about money than it was about health, and I believe that real happiness comes from feeling your best, so I like to focus on that.
