How did you get into acupuncture and energy medicine, and how did these fields become your calling?
I have always felt a calling to help people and work in healthcare. However, it wasn’t until I discovered acupuncture and energy medicine that everything fell into place.
My journey began with an old Chinese historical drama that sparked my interest in acupuncture and Chinese medicine. Later, I did a study abroad program in Beijing, where I learned Chinese and studied acupuncture. While I found it interesting, I was not ready to pursue it as a career. It wasn’t until I took a continuing education class on dealing with chronic pain that everything changed. During this class, I learned about color, light, and frequency therapies, as well as experiencing the Merkaba for the first time. The Merkaba refers to one’s energy-light body. It was my “Aha!” moment.
I had always been on a spiritual path, but this experience was what I had been searching for, even though I did not know I was looking for it.
What specific services do you offer?
I offer a comprehensive range of services that includes acupuncture, acupressure, cupping, scraping, Tui Na (a form of Chinese therapeutic massage), diet and nutrition counseling, and exercise programs such as Tai Chi, Qi Gong, stretches, ergonomics, meditation classes, and coaching. These are just a few examples of the services I provide.
How do Qi Gong and Tai Chi work and what are the differences between them?
Qi Gong and Tai Chi focus on energy flow, mindfulness, and breathing techniques. Tai Chi is a form of Qi Gong that involves a series of fluid movements that seamlessly flow into one another, creating a complete form. Qi Gong is a series of exercise movements that include specific breathing techniques, making it a more stationary practice than Tai Chi. As a result, Tai Chi requires more space to move than Qi Gong.
How can your wellness coaching help people achieve their goals?
My coaching program focuses on identifying the imbalances in the body and working towards restoring balance. I also assist individuals in overcoming any mental, physical, or emotional obstacles that may hinder their progress.
What are the different events you organize like?
The most frequent event that I organize is a quarterly five-day meridian reset. The event enables participants to reset all their meridians and recharge their energy. The reset offers balance and center in their lives.
In addition to this, I also offer a six-class meditation series. Each series has a unique theme, and we focus on that particular theme throughout the series.
Is there anything else about your work that you would like to share that we have not covered?
I also offer a service called Nambrudipad’s allergy elimination technique (NAET), which helps people overcome/alleviate any allergy or sensitivity. The symptoms can range from environmental and people sensitivities to sensitivities to objects or clothes. NAET combines modern medicine, Eastern medicine, and energy healing. I find it to be a very effective combination. With my biotech background of 20 years, I believe my knowledge and experience can help people overcome allergies or sensitivities.
