What can you tell me about your journey to self-discovery? What are some of the challenges you faced along the way?

There is much I could share in response to this question, yet I shall make an effort to distil it down to the crucial elements. The challenges began with the experience of loss at an early age. As I moved through my life the impact of that early loss played out in all areas of my existence and was compounded with further loss. As a child I was sensitive to my environment, using my instinct to navigate my way through the chaos. Looking back at myself as a teenager I see that I was absorbing so much of others’ pain. I could frequently see and feel the intention behind every word and action. As I entered adulthood and began to build a corporate career, I would find myself challenging and challenged by the environment.

This led me to find my way and out of the corporate world. In my endeavour to free myself from what became unrelenting pain, I travelled down pathways that showed me that I needed to do it differently from what had been recommended or that I had been drawn towards. It was also in that intense place that a wise voice inside me said “What if you are simply here to play in the light as the light that you are?” To me, it was an invitation to choose whether I would continue to suffer. Pain will do what it does, but I can choose not to suffer along with it. It was through building the connection with my Higher Self/Soul and continuing to unravel the layers of pain and by seeking to know the root cause or origin that I was guided into the ancestral traumas that I carried.

By acknowledging and addressing these ancestral wounds, I began to heal not only myself but also the collective pain that had been silently carried within my lineage. In essence, my journey has been one of profound self-discovery, guided by the wisdom of my inner voice and a relentless pursuit of healing. Through this process, I have come to understand that I am not defined by my past or the pain I have endured. Instead, I am a radiant being of light, capable of transcending suffering and embracing a life filled with joy, fulfillment and of course my favourite thing – laughter!

How does ancestral healing work?

We are the product of a family lineage that has weathered countless life events, and our very existence is intertwined with this family system. Although we may not have personally experienced these events, our ancestors may have endured poverty, war, homelessness, persecution, infidelity, and other hardships. These events leave an indelible mark on those who come after them. In order to survive our ancestors developed behavioural patterns, belief systems, and a way of life that ensured their safety and survival. Now here we are at this moment in time perhaps finding ourselves struggling with overwhelming anxiety, not able to move forward in life despite much effort, not trusting in relationships, lacking in self-confidence, and many more, with varying degrees of intensity.

Ancestral healing is a powerful method that involves identifying and releasing the trauma within your family tree. By working on an energetic level, I identify the origin within your lineage of where this first occurred. During this process, I provide a description of these traumas and how they manifest, including the patterns, emotions, and behaviours associated with them. A client may feel the energetic movements and emotions that have been held within them releasing as these energies are acknowledged. By liberating themselves from the constraints of ancestral patterns, clients experience a sense of peace, alleviating the inner turmoil they once grappled with within their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. This transformative experience brings a renewed sense of all that is now possible.

What ideas is your life transition coaching based on?

Change can come expectedly or unexpectedly, be welcomed or unwelcome, and happen suddenly or gradually. Regardless of how change occurs, it always interrupts our normal routine. Whether it’s a new relationship, job loss, questioning of faith/spirituality, or illness, our natural inclination is to resist change. How do we let go? How do we find comfort in the emptiness that follows? How do we embark on a fresh start? It is fundamental for clients to comprehend that the stages of change mirror the cycles of nature. Just as the leaves gracefully fall from the trees and winds strip them bare, there is always the promise of new growth. Through transitions we are urged to explore our inner selves, fostering personal transformation. It is a beckoning towards a more expansive existence. How shall we respond to this call?

What are the benefits of developing a meditation practice?

Developing a meditation practice offers a multitude of advantages that can significantly enrich your life. It serves as a pathway to liberate your mind from its conditioned patterns, leading to improved health, overall well-being, and a profound connection to your Soul/Higher Self. By tapping into the harmonious and joyful part of ourselves, we unlock the natural wellspring of creativity that resides within each of us. Moreover, meditation grants us deep inner freedom from fear and desire, empowering us to gracefully confront life’s challenges. It allows us to access a dynamic and limitless source of energy that resides within every individual.

What are your classes like?

What can a person expect to experience in one of them? My classes centre around cultivating a direct and deep connection with your Higher Self/Soul through meditation and spiritual practice. The ultimate goal is to awaken to our boundless potential and embrace a life lived from that elevated state of being. The techniques and exercises provided are designed to strengthen your spiritual resilience as you navigate through the challenges of everyday existence.

I work in a way that is about simplicity, along with a down-to-earth approach. I offer a free meditation class for all newcomers.
