Yes, what I recall is that the beginning of my major transformation was during my corporate career. At that point, I wasn’t truly fulfilled, although I wasn’t aware of it then. These transformations often hit us where it matters most, and for me, that was my career. My identity was deeply intertwined with my professional success. While others might have a different experience, for me, the heart of the matter was my work life, which led to my personal “rock bottom,” so to speak. With hindsight, I understand that the universe orchestrated this change. I had a choice in that moment—either continue down the same path or take a different route. It was a crossroads presented by my soul. Looking back, I made the choice to change, although at the time, I questioned why this was happening to me. Understanding it now, this experience was a beautiful expansion, even though I didn’t perceive it that way back then.

I resided predominantly in my thoughts, and this manifested in my inclination to push forward in directions that didn’t inherently resonate with me. I felt compelled to follow predetermined career paths and societal notions of success, even when they didn’t harmonize with my innate energy. The internal struggle was real because this approach was incongruent with my authentic self. In retrospect, I’ve come to realize how my energy operates and how I can achieve success—both within myself, attaining balance, and in my external pursuits.

At that time, I was disconnected from my emotions and passions, merely adhering to societal expectations. I didn’t pause to question my identity or preferences. A striking illustration of this is how I would return home after arduous workdays and a long commute, juggling the demands of a young family. Consequently, I ranked myself at the bottom of the priority list. The transformative aspect is that I now recognize the significance of inner transparency. This journey often starts with recognizing and addressing the values we carry—some of which might have been instilled during our upbringing but might not resonate with our present selves. It’s about acknowledging that what worked for us in the past might not necessarily align with our current aspirations. Gaining self-awareness is pivotal—understanding our genuine identity and values as adults, rather than living by inherited or imposed values.
