Prahl invites us to explore the principles of Health Synthesis, sharing her insights into holistic wellness and her unwavering commitment to helping individuals achieve optimal health and vitality.

Can you share with us how your journey led you to integrate spirituality, emotional well-being, and physical health into your practice?

I began my journey as a chiropractor, initially believing that I was the only one in need of healing. However, I soon realized that many individuals kept returning with the same condition repeatedly over the years. Despite adding nutrition to my practice and witnessing improvement in many patients, some still didn’t respond. It was then that I introduced emotional work into my repertoire, and those who underwent both nutrition and emotional healing seemed to fare well.

Yet, I myself was struggling. I found myself sinking into depression amidst an emotional and spiritual crisis. Ultimately, I made the decision to leave my practice and relocate. However, establishing a new practice in a small town with reduced income proved to be challenging and chaotic. It became evident that I needed to focus on healing myself.

I immersed myself in nature, finding solace in long walks through the woods and tending to my garden. I also delved into various studies, exploring shamanic practices, transformational medicine, and methods to enhance genetic function. Through this journey of self-discovery and healing, I eventually developed a new approach to healing that not only benefited me but also had the potential to help others — thus, Healing Synthesis was born.

What inspired you to develop the Healing Synthesis method, and how does it differ from traditional approaches to health and wellness?

The typical medical approach is to suppress symptoms, continuing until they are no longer felt. My approach, however, is to uncover the underlying issues and conflicts that cause these conditions, and then either heal or accept them, allowing us to move beyond. It’s about acknowledging that the body reflects consciousness; it’s essentially a mirror.

By considering all these factors together — spiritual, emotional, relational, environmental, genetic — we can address the various aspects that contribute to a person’s well-being. Genetics play a significant role here; they determine how well we think, move, and are influenced by how you feed them.

What type of services do you offer?

I offer nutrition, emotional release work, genetic testing, and treatment. As mentioned, genetics are particularly important, and I also perform shamanic work if requested. I provide services both virtually and in person. Additionally, I authored a book titled “Body Messengers.” While I still offer chiropractic care, I advise individuals to continue seeing their current chiropractor if they are satisfied, and to come to me for other complementary services.

How do you help individuals recognize and interpret the clues that their physical bodies offer about their emotional and spiritual well-being?

For example, if a person is experiencing difficulty with their hands, it may signify an issue with aggression; they might struggle to express themselves assertively. Similarly, problems in the digestive tract could indicate unresolved emotional issues, with the digestive system acting as a way to process them. If someone is facing challenges with their lungs, it could suggest an inability to speak up or discuss important matters. Issues with the ovaries might point to feelings of bitterness or depression stemming from neglecting self-care or familial responsibilities. Heart problems may signify struggles with authentic self-expression or difficulty in expressing love in a way that feels genuine to them. In my approach, I gently pose questions to allow individuals to explore and understand their thoughts and emotions.

What role do you believe intuition plays in the healing process, both for practitioners like yourself and for individuals seeking to optimize their health?

Intuition plays a significant role in helping individuals connect with their bodies. If I’m uncertain about a patient, I refrain from pointing out their connections. However, if I am confident about the patient, I do highlight these connections. Personally, I have enough issues to work through without delving into theirs. Yet, patients often discover the answers to their health challenges themselves, and we celebrate those moments of insight together.

Can you tell us a little bit more about your book and what important message do you think readers will get from it?

My book covers various aspects related to the body, connecting them with planetary archetypes. People often relate to these archetypes, making it easier for them to understand the issues discussed. For instance, Mars represents aggression, Mercury relates to lung issues, the Sun signifies heart problems, and the Moon symbolizes ovarian issues. I delve into different conflicts and challenges individuals face, linking them with these archetypes.

My aim is for readers to recognize themselves in the book and realize that there are numerous alternatives to traditional medicine to improve their well-being. I hope they understand that achieving optimal health is possible, and even if they can’t reach that point, they will find answers to their challenges and learn to accept them. Overall, it’s a positive journey of self-discovery and healing.

How do you practice self-care to maintain your own well-being?

It may seem complicated, but it’s not. I have several friends I regularly meet with, as well as a mastermind group for communication. Another mastermind group focuses on shamanic practices, which helps keep me motivated. My relationship with my husband is strong, and I prioritize healthy eating, taking supplements, and staying active. While I’m far from perfect, I acknowledge that there’s always room for improvement, and I’m committed to doing my best.
