Can you share with us how your diverse background in Tarot, mediumship, meditation, Reiki, counselling, and hypnotherapy informs your approach to providing guidance and practical solutions for your clients?

I use Tarot as a way to see beyond the surface of what is going on in someone’s life. Then having identified the problems/blocks/frustrations that might be in play, I can, if the client wishes, work with them on a deeper level. The point is to empower and liberate. I help them deal with fear, trauma or whatever is in their way. I use any or all of the above, depending on the individual client’s situation. If someone is experiencing repeating patterns in relationships and cannot figure out what it is at the root of things, I can use Tarot to identify the trigger and help them change that energy by bringing in other modalities. Mediumship helps them connect to guides and helper spirits, mediation helps them stay centred and build a deeper relationship with the energetic/spiritual world and also enables visualisation. Hypnotherapy, EFT, counselling etc help with stuck belief systems.

How do you work with your team of guides to connect with the higher energies of your clients and bring clarity?

My readings are an ongoing conversation. I tend not to use fixed spreads, unless I just need a quick ‘helicopter view’ of someone’s situation. I ask questions constantly and the answers I get are channelled through the cards so I can deliver them for each client. Sometimes the answers come as a linear line of cards which will read literally as a message to be spoken out loud. My guides also act as a kind of clearing house for clients whose own guides cannot make themselves heard. Then the messages will be from them. I am in reality, just a postman!

Could you explain your perspective on the Tarot as a “book of life” and the ancient symbolism embedded in each card?

Tarot is, in effect, a bible. It does the same job but is also interactive.
It gives us a complete instruction manual of’ ‘how to do life’. Every single human experience is communicated pictorially on the cards with symbolism that speaks to our human collective life experience. Tarot is a communication system, a common language that enables us to communicate more easily with the energetic/spiritual world. Because our subconscious minds are image focussed, we can often unconsciously recognise the symbolism irrespective of culture’. This is why in Tarot, The High Priestess represents both our subconscious mind and our connection to our intuition. It is the mechanism by which The Magicians directive of ‘as above, so below’ operates.

Could you share more about The Life Code Tarot deck and the philosophy and spiritual path it explores? How does this deck differ from traditional Tarot decks and what unique perspectives does it offer?

The cards themselves work on the same basis symbolic interpretations as standard RW decks. They differ by linking the Major arcana and the Minor Arcana together in ‘realms’ that work in a new and unique way. The suits are the centre of everything and give us the layers of our persona. It also re-defines Pentacles not as money/work, but as a combination of the other three suits, which used together, make our life experience (our currency). This is how we build a ‘rich’ life. We can see the suits as this: fuel, engine, steering, journey.

By repositioning our attention towards real human aspiration ie The Ten of Pentacles (built on the foundation of the Ten of Cups) the Major arcana become a matrix of guidance for each part of the process. Giving us a foundational ideal, the internal process necessary, what regulation should be in place, external influences in play and a guiding principle for each suit, all working towards our goal of a happy, sustainable, abundant life experience.

The deck itself is more of an illustration of the philosophy, on its own it simply makes the different ‘realms’ easier to see. The over philosophy and mechanism is described in more detail in the larger book The Life Code which is currently looking for a publisher 😊

In your manifesto that underpins your work with Tarot, what are the key principles or beliefs that shape your personal approach to Tarot? How do these principles contribute to the new approach to spirituality that you believe Tarot can lead the way in, particularly for younger people?

The key principals of my approach to Tarot is that life is a co-creation. We are energetically creating all the time, whether we know we are or not, and we do that in the energetic space. The life we create therefore is a representation of our own internal energy and we attract that which resonates with us, whether it ultimately feels good or not. Our personal energetic navigation system operates on autopilot and often changing it feels uncomfortable, but we have more power than we often use to change our internal Sat Nav. Tarot can give us the way to re-position and therefore change our life experience. Manifestation these days, is a mainstream concept, but it is notoriously hard to master because seeing below our own surface view to see what is in play is a tricky business. Asking ‘what is my future’ (Tarot’s traditional role) paints you as powerless, which is not true and doesn’t get close to utilising Tarot to its potential. Tarot not only shines a torch into what we can’t see, it also gives us a map of how to navigate our life well, to a happier outcome.
The idea of a spiritual path being non-religious is being increasingly embraced and championed by a new wave of young readers, who are open-minded, curious, and interested in change. They are collectively redefining our understanding of relationships, both to each other and to ourselves. It gives us a link between the psychology of our emotions and our spiritual energy. They are interested in a non-judgemental, non-discriminatory spiritual path which is not planted in any one culture. They are less interested in worship and rules and more interested in life, process and outcome. Tarot appeals also because it is completely democratic, it is not controlled by anyone, there is no sin or judgement in Tarot and the cards can be used by anyone. You also do not have to have a special gift to use them. They are able to be used by anyone willing to learn the language and that’s the point. You are in control. It opens up communication to the spiritual realm to everyone, not just a few who remain gatekeepers.
Tarot also appeals because it connects and elevates humanity through a common language that understand communal suffering. We all suffer heartache, we all have ambitions, we all struggle with overthinking and a fear of being judged. We all worry about the future while struggling to let go of the past. We are all connected emotionally and energetically, and Tarot speaks to that shared experience. It gives us a way to elevate the experience while still allowing us to be what we are at our core – human. Little by little, Tarot can help make our lives lighter, more elevated and more enriched, not by removing ourselves from the temptations of life, but by living it to the full, with all it has to offer, from the deepest depths of our worst misery to the pinnacles of elation .
All experiences are valuable with the caveat that we are not here to suffer. If you are suffering, then adjustments need to be made. The mix is wrong, that is all. The wonderful part is, that when one person makes those changes, we all benefit. Our outlook, our attitude, the way we acknowledge each other changes things for everyone as we become more spiritualised by default, living increasingly from a position of love and understanding.
