Reestablish Trust with Self - With Samora Suber

Reestablish Trust with Self - With Samora Suber

This week, MysticMag and Samora Suber delve into the powerful integration of somatic coaching and motivational yoga, exploring how these practices synergize to elevate the coaching experience and foster holistic well-being. We’ll examine the techniques used to ground clients in their bodies, the fusion of motivational elements with yoga, and the tailored approach that addresses individual needs, ultimately leading to transformative outcomes. Join us on this journey of self-discovery and empowerment.

How do you integrate somatic coaching into your sessions, and in what ways does it enhance the coaching experience for your clients?

When the client is displaying distress, anxiety, low mood – I help the client ground into their body, identify sensations, and become more present with either breathing techniques, guided meditation, EFT tapping, or  intentional movement. This helps the client to release emotional blockages and become more clear and connected in the session.

Motivational yoga is a unique combination. Can you share insights into how you blend yoga with motivational elements, and how this dual approach contributes to the overall well-being of those you work with?

Motivational Yoga is a scientifically proven practice that combines motivational affirmations, fixed yoga sequences, breathwork, and brainwork to stimulate positive thinking, push physical limitations, and release emotional blockages. We start with dynamic movement that pairs with a motivating mantra and then we end with breathwork.

As a somatic coach, how do you incorporate body-based practices to support your clients in achieving their coaching goals?

Somatic coaching is really about reestablishing trust with self. And it’s with that deep trust that clients can start to make aligned choices each day that will lead them to their goals. Goals can only be attained with a change of the mind, in the beliefs, in the identity of who they are and what they can be.

In the context of motivational yoga, how do you tailor your sessions to inspire and motivate individuals, and what benefits have you observed in terms of both physical and mental well-being?

Clients are able to get an “all-in-one” wellness practice of body, breath, beliefs leaving them feeling more clear, confident, and connected so they can take on the world. The motivation you seek in life, starts in your body.

Can you share success stories or examples where the combination of somatic coaching and motivational yoga has led to significant positive outcomes for your clients?

Most clients I work with have reported a sense of control over their emotional responses to triggers, less distress and  anxiousness, improvement in physical health, heightened awareness and focus, and an overall increase in confidence.

With your dual expertise in somatic coaching and motivational yoga, how do you customize your approach to address the individual needs and aspirations of your clients?

Each clients’ needs are different so the approach has to be customized to fit their experiences. I love to meet clients where they are, meaning we emphasize what’s working and notice what’s blocked. We typically take small shifts to not shock the nervous system and leads to lasting change versus forced uncomfortable change that doesn’t last.
